The demise of Hon. Beatrice Njoki Mitaru, MCA, a Specially Elected Member representing Persons with Disabilities, is a big blow to her family and the people of Kirinyaga County.

Hon. Njoki was personally known to me as a listening leader and a people person who served with dignity and integrity. Learning of her demise is painful to me. I will remember her for her dedication and commitment to a better Kenya we all yearn for. My heart is heavy with grief.

I pass my deepest sympathies to her family, the County Assembly of Kirinyaga, and all her friends and relatives. May her memory and her contributions to a better society live on with you all in peace.

May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the soul of Hon. Njoki, and may perpetual light shine upon her forever.
