Doing cool stuff as much as possible with my 2008 Land Cruiser and other cars. Then either writing or making videos about it. MountainWestCarSpotter on IG
Re. Tomorrow's new Lexus GX reveal - I wrote this draft in March of 2020. Over three years ago. There was a published version, but apparently it's been scrubbed from existence. πΈβοΈ https://t.co/P7U1uVd4Ku
@JayCuda Can we see HRs hit per season at each stadium since, say, the end of the steroid-era? May need adjusting for new stadiums at new elevations. (Want to see how closely HRs are correlated with elevation + outliers).
Ah yes, spent about two minutes connected to wireless Android Auto this morning and now phone battery is draining at a rate of about 30% per hour. How is this a mass market feature?
Back in 2014, John Fetterman poured me a beer at an event in an empty lot next to his house in Braddock. Halfway through the pour, the keg kicked and foam sprayed all over his black Dickies shirt. He looked down, said "Ah, shit.", handed me the beer, then walked away.
@SLsees @TaylorWAnderson Then this article I wrote way back gives the Japanese Kei truck side of things. It's the first thing I ever had published, but it mostly holds up: https://t.co/RAFktA6nEO
@SLsees @TaylorWAnderson Non-US-market vehicles have to be 25+ y/o to be registered in the US. It seems Kei trucks present a loophole tho when you register them as ATVs, which apparently aren't subject to the 25 y/o law, and can still be driven on non-highways and sub-50mph rds here in Utah.
@SLsees @TaylorWAnderson Resisting the urge to spend the rest of my night researching the current regs, but this sums up the ATV side of things. Still do a hard eye-roll anytime I'm forced to follow a lifted + underglow-clad Polaris RZR down State Street on a Friday night. https://t.co/SC11RJ8yDH
@GaytonaUSA@bypatrickgeorge Perhaps unsurprisingly, the current MB Sprinter is the same way. Though not sold in the US, a FWD version was added with the third-gen for 2019. First two gens were just RWD/AWD.
Been at this for 5 years now and I think subconsciously most of that time has just been spent waiting to review one of these. Just wish it had the DSG.
This is all offensively and alarmingly bad. Likely the most shameful user interface design on the market right now. Cabin design and ergo used to be one of VW's biggest competitive advantages. Now it's like they want you to crash. My MKVI was eons better.
@thealso Ah, and a rare GM-powered SE at that! Lots of questions and misconceptions surround the Vixen. This article I wrote years back should the record straight: https://t.co/rEP5PbApAy
