“AI could kill humans within this decade..”

Both Anthropic and OpenAI believe slowing down is safer but neither wants to slow down first.

This is the biggest prisoner’s dilemma of our time

[Jacob Coxon @hilbertspaess]

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

The most dangerous words in the market:

Can’t

The market doesn’t care about your certainty.

HDFC Bank - the stock with the largest MTF book, is down 15% in the last 6 months.

Add ~15% p.a. interest cost and MTF investors are sitting on serious losses.

Yet the MTF book keeps rising with every dip.

How long does leveraged averaging continue before it turns into a

Before we started, Vaibhav bhai told me it was his first podcast and he wasn’t sure how it would go.

Quite the opposite - he explains things really well and is a wonderful person to have a conversation with.

Two main themes we discussed:

- How to manage trading alongside a job

This is what the Western world does better than us: recognise talent.

If someone has a skill, solves a real problem and can create impact at scale, they get noticed.

Meanwhile in India, we still obsess over degrees and credentials while genuinely capable people remain in the

This is how brutal CAS was in today’s Sensex expiry.

In the attached chart:
🟣 Purple candles = CAS indicative prices after 3:20 PM
🟠 Other candles = synthetic futures price
🔵 Blue line = spot

At 3:21 PM, the indicative Sensex price was down more than 2000 points.

Shutting down F&O won’t automatically make that money flow into equities.

If anything, it risks making our equity markets less attractive.

Retail traders looking for speculation will move to riskier assets:

- Commodities
- Crypto
- Offshore forex markets
- And worse, dabba

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

As per
@ZeeBusiness
, traders are “sattebaaz”.

So tell us one thing -

When your own TV anchors give “Hero Zero” calls, is that sattebaazi or not?

The sheer hypocrisy is that you rely on traders for viewership and then turn around and call the same audience “sattebaaz”.

[PRAFUL KULKARNI @PRAFULKULKARN18]

Wow!
@ZeeBusiness silently removed the video making SATTEBAAZ remark!
Good!
But until @AnilSinghvi_ comes out and apologises for the remark & promises not to use that ever again,we'll take every jab possible at you. We'll even call out each & every analysis you give & shame you!

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

Along with highlighting losses of F&O traders, we should also study:

1. Losses of intraday traders in the cash segment

2. Losses of investors using MTF

3. Losses across all segments before and after STT and other costs

Would make for some interesting data.

[Vishal Mehta, CMT @vishalmehta29]

In 2024 SEBI found 71% of intraday equity traders were losing money. Then it stopped counting.

SEBI studied intraday equity cash traders once, in July 2024. 71% lost money. Participation up 300% in four years

The cash segment study was never repeated and only F&O losses were recorded. Two years on, nobody knows if that 71% got better or worse. Eagerly waiting

Nifty Bank after CAS: Up 600 points

Next morning: Down 600 points

This is the price discovery we all wanted. 👏🏻

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

To those celebrating because F&O traders are struggling with CAS, let me tell you something -

This is only Phase 1.

In the next phase, CAS expands to non F&O stocks too.

Imagine buying a stock for a swing trade. During CAS, it falls 3% and the final close is below your stop

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

BSE stock was down more than 5% after this news..

And
@NDTVProfit
simply says - “The error is regretted”

@SEBI_updates
Kindly take note of these frequent “errors”.

Investors cannot keep becoming collateral damage of unverified market moving news.

@johncanzanobft He’s a deer in the headlights. Can’t see the field, holds on to the ball too long, can’t get out of his own way. Too bad. Tough to have your worst game of the year in the CFP Semifinal

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

@DuckFootball Ummmm…that’s ball game Rob. Ducks once again proving naysayers right,
can’t win a big game. Moore playing like a deer in the headlights.

[Arjun_Tandon @ChrisOman44]

@espn 'Bama still getting the calls I see. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

@johncanzanobft From the “They sure needed that” Department. Benson must be the fastest dude on the team? Runs away from ppl
