Intense yes, rough no. Viper is rough, X2 only had one section that could be considered, “rough” and that was the raven turn, and even that wasn’t “rough”. More so jerky. In the cold it was perfectly fine cause the grease or whatever would not allow the trains to flex as much as they would in the heat.
@coasterstudios It is completely unfair what happened to X2. The damn media and pushing their narrative to get clicks is so unfair. It's no wonder why this industry is struggling so hard.
They died because they were negligent to their own health. Hilda Farias (2010 death) and Christopher Hawley (2022 death). They both had pre-existing medical conditions that ultimately caused it. Hawley's situation is a grey area, park settled but stated Hawley had a medical condition that caused the death, but Farias definitely had a pre-existing condition and still rode X2 resulting in her death.
@abriNotMe77@CNN Yes they did you fucking retard. They put harmful headlines that weren't accurate and built up a harmful narrative, got lawyers attentions and brought out the ambulance chasers. If it wasn't for CNN this story wouldn't have gotten traction and killed the ride.
Insurance costs, shitty press looking for their clicks so they place harmful headlines regarding the coaster and Six Flags which forced their hands on top of the ambulance chasers looking to secure a payday.
It's not Six Flags' fault negligence happened from the two that died in 2022 and 2010, nor the injuries. Some people just shouldn't be riding high intensity rollercoasters.
