In a funding application when it comes to considering the risks to achieving deliverables or unforseen issues. Should I consider the possibility of WW3, economic collapse, giant asteroid, zombie apocalypse. I used to just put "participants might leave the study".

Good to see solastalgia being discussed like this in Ireland and developers asked to address it. Solastalgia needs to be considered in planning+ climate adaptation. Communities may already experience it. Such developments may intensify existing grief or contribute to it emerging

We find place loss results in emotional responses consistent with solastalgia emotions. Adaptation actions can be seen as undesirable, amplifying a sense of loss. Lack of community engagement in decision-making can create powerlessness and anxiety around the future of place.
