@greasedtea78 Easily the best programme of all time. It never gets old, no matter how many times you've seen it. I'm just watching the one where they go to France on That's TV! 🇫🇷
@RodneyMarshall1 My favourite ep of Morse. I always remember him delivering the lines "A man is impersonating Roger Moore.....What's the common denominator? All roads lead to Daley," so well in the 'What Makes Shammy Run' ep of Minder. A great actor who brought something different to every role
@StvCr Very sad indeed, I absolutely loved reading Quentin's 'Dealer's Diary' in Buying Cars & later Car Choice. His used car features on TG were brilliant. One of us very rare English Literature graduates who started a car showroom after uni. RIP
Very sad to hear about Quentin Willson# Absolutely loved reading his 'Dealer's Diary' in Buying Cars & Car Choice magazines and his used car features on TG were brilliant, one of us very rare English Literature graduates to start a car showroom after uni. RIP @MichaelaWillson
involved in motoring journalism in his 90s. Sadly, all the values of this era are fast dying. While Jaguar becoming part of BL must have seemed a nightmare back then, nothing compares to the horror of the Teletubbies ad and today's pink marital aid lookalike concept car! (2/2)
What a wonderful era for Jaguar, the BBC & its presenters. Gordon Wilkins lived to the ripe of old age of 95, having semi-retired to France & Italy & was still (1/2)

Forget the spoof ad, this is surely the real Jaguar ad......I actually had an interview at Jaguar's ad agency J Walter Thompson back in the day......judging by these skills, it's shocking I lost out to an Oxford graduate....I went to Oxford when I was 9.....it was a nice day out!
@LUDENClassics Seems obscenely cheap, I seem to remember the guide was £6k - £8k but the last MoT expired over 14 years ago so probably needs a lot of work.
@LUDENClassics Reminds me of the opening titles of the second Sweeney film, that was an S-reg too! Very imposing cars, far more presence than a 2024 S-class
@LUDENClassics That was a strange one, it 'sold' for £10k but then was re-offered later in the sale with an opening bid of £3000 & sold for £5377. The MoT history shows MoTs in '24 & '19 only & its SORN so maybe it needs re-commissioning? On paper, sounds an absolute steal
@Andrew_Frankel Surprised that Jaguar isn't listed but most Jaguar owners are too busy admiring the classic lines of their cars to waste time on watches! I've never understood massive money watches as they all provide the same basic function but if pushed, I'd say Bremont is a Jag with a strap
I've recently come across a brilliant Facebook group featuring photos of old car showrooms and forecourts, I'm not really a Facebook person but this is by far the best thing I've found on there! https://t.co/GSiRD9Sj6z
A bit of unexpected carspotting# 3 Morgans in Truro! Reminds me of Robert Glenister's character's nick name in Hustle! No one ever seems to remember it but it was a rare entertaining series from the 2000s, just before 99.9% of TV became unwatchable! https://t.co/DkeFix4Pmp
