That’s how you run a football program. Everyone matters, down to the unpaid volunteers. They are valued staff members, regardless of pay. Being a football coach doesn’t make you a king or a god. We’re all human beings, so treat everyone with dignity.
A special thank you from Coach Kelly and the team to thank the students on our staff who have been critical in our operations and preparation all season.
I am incredibly appreciative of Coach Conlin and @FORDHAMFOOTBALL for the opportunity to spend the year at home in the Bronx. Fordham is a special program, but I’m moving on to the next opportunity. I will never forget my #RAMILY and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them!
@ejj_fairway@coachchaney96@Bpough That just speaks to my further points. It’s why they’re HBCU national champions. They take time to do things the right way
@coachchaney96 Big part of it is lack of recruiting budget. Coaches don’t want to spend money on OVs to bring a kid in, sign him, give him a scholarship, then have to develop him for a year or two and end with a transfer. But I’m a firm believer that if you do your job right, they won’t leave.
@coachchaney96 Coach, spent last season at Grambling, got a peek behind the curtain. HBCUs have almost zero interest in HS kids. Nobody wants to develop talent anymore and it’s not sustainable. Can’t tell you how many times I passed great film to my own coaches, just to be ignored.
@kenmoorejr6 It’s absurd. Coaches need to get back to basics and actually develop their players. I’d rather have a kid who wanted to be in my program in the first place. @Coach_Scott31 you should keep an eye on Columbus (Miami). There is real talent, well-coached and ready to play.
@GSUCoachFobbs believed in me, and gave me an opportunity to get back in the game after a car accident and the COVID outbreak took all my other chances away. One of the best men I’ve ever known, and I know he’s not done making an impact in people’s lives. Forever grateful!
@cpa_todd@CEJRyanMcMahon@OnondagaCounty You have no followers and follow nobody, but you post exclusively on posts by @CEJRyanMcMahon to defend him. That tells me that it's either the county exec himself, or someone in the office that runs the twitter account. Either way, it's a bad look.
@cuseguysteve@SyracuseOn247 Steve, I agree. And as Stephen mentioned, this was his first year ever playing defensive line. He can contribute, it’s really up to the strength and conditioning staff and Vince Reynolds to get him there.
