A major milestone for Bank of Kigali and Rwanda’s financial sector. 🇷🇼🇨🇳
Bank of Kigali has become the first bank in Rwanda and the first bank headquartered in East and Central Africa to join China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) as a direct participant.
This milestone strengthens the financial connection between Rwanda and China, enabling faster and more direct cross-border payments in China’s currency.(RMB)
The CIPS Direct Participation Agreement was signed in Xiamen, China, on September 8 during the 2nd CIPS Cross-Border Bank-Enterprise Cooperation Event.
A significant step forward in making international payments simpler, faster and more connected.

“Do you lack evidence even within your own reports that the Kinshasa government backs FDLR?”
The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Rwanda to the United Nations, Martin Ngoga, criticises the UN Security Council for its failure to denounce the acts of violence of the coalition of the DRC and the genocidal militia, FDLR. #RBANews
Targeting Rwanda will not solve the conflict in eastern DRC, it never has. The DRC is not interested in a political solution, when DRC President Tshisekedi keeps saying this, believe him.
It is completely unreasonable to expect Rwanda to compromise its national security.
https://t.co/xkA1bilOr2
"The Government of the DRC has a lot more to answer for than any other party within the DRC itself and in the region, but gets away with all manner of violations for reasons that are obvious to all. Consistently not holding the Government of the DRC accountable for repeated attacks on its own citizens, including the ongoing indiscriminate bombing of Banyamulenge villages in South Kivu, encourages the DRC to double down on a military path, prolonging the conflict and the suffering of civilians."
Unlike what the international community will have you believe, the idea that a political solution is necessary to solve the conflict in Eastern DRC is far from new. It is what Rwanda has been calling for, for YEARS. It is exactly what President Tshisekedi has openly and REPEATEDLY refused to do. And we will not join you in pretending otherwise.
The underlying message of the selective outcry is not that there is a sudden genuine concern for the plight of a country that everyone knows is a failed state. The message is clear: the decision made 30 years ago—that the lives of Rwandans are expendable in the face of geopolitical interests—still stands today.
That is why the leadership of DRC is enjoying the perks of sharing the same interests as their masters: talk crazy, recruit genocidaires and European mercenaries to fight your wars, sit back, relax, and let the international community bury the real issue.
What every resolution and statement is calling for is an immediate return to business as usual: a nation that must remain a lawless playground where leaders get their cut to go buy castles in Brussels, the international community thrives off the business of peacekeeping and poverty alleviation programs, and their companies protect their profits.
Every country throwing its weight behind DRC knows they would never tolerate a fraction of the kind of security threats Rwanda has been facing for 30 years.
The gaslighting is deliberate because the truth is bad for business. It turns out that in this equation, the citizens of either country don’t actually matter, and in the end, their goal is NOT in fact a path to peace.
#Rwanda is all we have got! and this Rwanda was given back to us by one and only Statesman, our Hero H.E Paul Kagame! He gave us a Nation & Vision! Let no one dilute our cause! #TwikomerezeImihigo

When President Félix Tshisekedi supported and armed the FDLR genocidal force, which he embedded in his own army, Belgium saw it but did nothing about it.
When President Tshisekedi publicly and repeatedly promised to overthrow the government of Rwanda and to bomb Kigali without setting boots on the ground, Belgium heard it loud and clear but remained silent.
When President Tshisekedi spent billions of dollars in heavy weaponry, including attack drones and fighter jets, to achieve his proclaimed goal, and when he put in place a military coalition made of local militias, FDLR genocidal force, Burundian and SAMIDRC forces, as well European mercenaries, for the same purpose, Brussels was fully aware but didn't act.
When the FARDC and its criminal militias persecute and kill, in broad daylight, the Congolese Tutsi in North Kivu, the Banyamulenge in South Kivu and the Hema in Ituri, Belgium is informed to the fullest but chose to look the other way.
And when the Belgian Foreign Minister claims that his country wants "a professional suspension process that preserves the gains of our longstanding cooperation for the benefit of the Rwandan people", this is not only pure neocolonial narrative, but also hypocrisy.
First, it's not the Kingdom of Belgium that takes care of the well-being of the Rwandan people but the Government of Rwanda itself.
Second, if Belgium was working for the "benefit of the Rwandan people", it would not be running around the world putting pressure on all our partners to end the development cooperation intended for that very "Rwandan people".
Third, Rwanda and History know too well how the Kingdom of Belgium usually behaves when it comes to defending the Rwandan people.
I rest my case.

@sos_rwanda Not sure what you mean by “world leaders” (I have seen plenty) or if you are spinning another imaginative theory. Honestly you should consider a career in fiction writing can’t guarantee it would sell but it suits you perfectly.
@freyntje As RWANDANS, we choose our leaders through an established electoral process, and our choice was clear. Unlike the eras you mentioned, this democracy has delivered strong and positive results. Who do you think you are to judge and dictate what democracy should mean to us?
@sos_rwanda And indeed he is loved…
And as you continue to make a living with your incoherent, made-up false truths, Rwanda will thrive and develop under his leadership because, unlike you, he has facts and achievements that do the talking.
"Leaders exist everywhere. But leading you is unparalleled. Leading Rwandans and the RPF is a great honor. We have gone through several challenges and left them behind us. We are now looking forward, and we have achieved tremendous progress. But greater things are ahead of us. For people to reach even greater achievements, to realize their desires, we need to keep strengthening our security. After building and strengthening our nation’s security, we must focus on establishing good politics that caters to all Rwandans without leaving anyone behind. That is the path we are on. This is what RPF stands for.” Chairman Kagame | RPF Presidential Campaign - Kayonza District.

@sos_rwanda As the French say, "les faits sont têtus" (facts are stubborn things). The achievements of Rwanda under the RPF’s leadership are undeniable and speak for themselves.
@sos_rwanda However, I will conclude by highlighting Rwanda's exceptional security record without which all the above wouldn’t be possible Rwanda is frequently praised as one of the safest places on the continent and in the world.
