The sight and sounds of this yellow wagtail brightened up a walk east of Stapleford this evening. Pair of mandarin and 5 swallow also around @CambsBirdClub
We've had a little run of new birds which has largely filled up the Herts spring migrant tracker
First swifts and whinchats likely to appear over the next week or so
#hertsbirds@Hertsbirds
The spring migrant tracker is starting to fill up! Sedge warbler and ring ouzel slightly earlier than average
Should see the first common terns and common sandpipers over the coming days

A cracking wheatear in the ploughed field east of Dernford Reservoir this morning. 10+ snipe in same field, oystercatcher flying around and groups of 21 and 63 golden plover over @CambsBirdClub
After regularly checking over the last few weeks it was rewarding to finally hear a singing Corn Bunting along Nashes Farm Lane, St Albans. A scarce bird in the south of the county. @Hertsbirds#hertsbirds
