Recruits,
You could send DMs to a thousand college coaches and only get one response.
That response is something you wouldn’t have gotten if you didn’t send out those messages.
It only takes one.
Recruits, here are some tips for when you’re putting together your film:
- Identify yourself at the very beginning of each clip.
- Don’t let the film drag on. Once the play finishes, end that clip.
- Don’t add bad tape just to make your film longer.
Your film is your resume.
Blue Chip Sports will never charge players to be evaluated and included in our rankings. We can’t promise a good ranking but we do promise a FAIR and FREE ranking from former college staff. DM us your film 📲
If you get an offer from a G5 or Power 4 school, first off, congrats!
Ask them if they can set up an official visit for you to come see the school and talk to the coaches.
If they’re unwilling or dance around the question, that should tell you what you need to know.
Recruits,
Here are some tips to make sure your visits go smoothly:
1. Dress appropriately
2. Arrive on time
3. Shake the coach’s hand with eye contact
4. Look interested
5. Ask questions
And most importantly, if you really want to go to that school:
DO YOUR RESEARCH!
If you are serious about being recruited to play football at the next level, you have to update your film and stats regularly.
Coaches want to see your most updated film so they can project your level of play as accurately as possible.
They can’t do that with 3 year old tape.
🚨RECRUITS🚨
If you’re researching a college program, take a look at where they’re players transfer to when they hit the portal:
*generally*
A higher level = good player development
A parallel level = culture/development issues
A lower level = Evaluation failures
REACH OUT TO SCHOOLS WHO WILL COMPLIMENT YOUR PLAYING STYLE!!
If you’re a man coverage type CB, reach out to teams who play a lot of man.
If you’re a running quarterback, reach out to schools with run heavy offenses.
You will get more responses when you do your research.
Networking tip: we are in the football season now an easy way to stay at the top of someone's inbox w/o being annoying 👇👇👇
Good luck texts, congratulations texts, thoughts on the previous game, asking how someone feels about an upcoming opponent etc.
@CoachDDudley did this with me a couple years back, and was on the top of our radar for a role at SMU and then in turn earned a full time role at Ohio State.

🚨ATTENTION RECRUITS🚨
We are now in the Evaluation Period.
Coaches can now come to your games and practices and see you in person.
But they can not have face-to-face recruiting conversations with you away from campus.
They can still text, call, email, and dm you.
@AndyBitterVT UVA being good and VT on an upward trend means that our rivalries with these schools can finally mean something on the national scale again
WEEK ZERO IS HERE!
Not only do I love watching the games.
But I also love watching teams who prioritize high school recruiting outclass teams who overpay for 1 year transfer portal mercenaries.
High school recruiting wins championships.
