I’m a lifelong fight fan, and had well over 100 backyard #boxing matches, but I had just enough official fights to have some hardware. Couple belts, couple trophies, a few medals. Not much, but for someone who was never built to compete in boxing, I’m proud of it. Sheer passion.
@DanRafael1@CompuBox Maybe the IBF needs to explain how on earth he got to be mandatory by beating an ancient Jean Pascal, and then sitting on the ranking for three years
@AlBernstein@dougiefischer Although, it has to be nurtured at the younger levels. Even in the 90s it was near impossible to find boxing programs in traditional youth sports centers for middle class families. It’s gotta be a working/middle class sport to make it truly cross back over.
@AlBernstein@dougiefischer It could help get the American fight fan back involved. I think TBL expanding will also do that. Because the defensive backs and point guards who would be good at the sport, can actually wade in during the off-season without having to commit fully.
@MaxCalendrillo People need to calm down. A lot of fighters say they’re coming back, but only about a half of them actually do. And they don’t say it, but the reason why they stopped trying is what happens in the gym when they go back there.
@The_Mean_One20@RandyGoat@Pat72852006 The level of delusion you have is truly awe-inspiring. You have to ignore 80 years of the man’s life to feel that way.
@patriotgirl776 When the Republicans are in charge, the middle class goes away, when Democrats are in charge it grows. Big middle class equals developed nation. End of story.
@SteveKim323@dougiefischer He realized he could beat everybody except the man, Pacquiao, but he got rich trying. Then he retired. I wish Dubois would get the same hint.
