This is why I talked about the importance of understanding personal truths, and what makes Ronova's story so endearing.
Pierro hates her because all he knows is that on the day his people were already being killed by monsters of the Abyss, some random God came down and added to the suffering by making the remaining survivors immortal, then leaving without helping anyone whilst they begged to be saved. He's not a liar because from his perspective, that is his truth.
Mavuika has her own as well. When Ronova created the Night Kingdom (since bum Phanes didn't help) it was out of love, but this got her punished and started her spiral of emotionless behavior. She then makes a deal with Xbalanque in this emotionless state after Xiuhcoatl is defeated which is what Mavuika has access to when in the Sacred Flame.
So now all Mavuika knows is that Ronova only helped because she was curious if they could defeat the Abyss, which is where the "They've always treated Natlan as a tool to deal with the Abyss" come's from. She does not know Ronova's full story so that is her truth from her perspective, she is no liar.
Then finally we have Ronova's perspective, created to battle dragons and carry out her masters will, all the Shades resent Phanes, but Ronova was the only one punished for not abiding to the rules, so she closed herself off (Similar to real life when trying to help gets you hurt instead, so you become less empathetic to protect yourself).
She is now constantly subjected to everyone's hatred and opinions of her, forced into a mindset that she must abide her creator or be hurt, and everything she does is wrong to everyone.
Which then leads to her "death" statement. "Humans, God's, even Phanes. I need not despise you any longer". Any love she felt for living creatures has been taken from her until she became exactly what people imagine Death to be, cold, emotionless, and cruel.
Something i noticed is the reboot-loa era jumps have no anticipation, she just launches herself off of the ground (it's particularly bad in loa's case)
meanwhile classic-lau lara anticipates her jump by kneeling down before pushing off of the ground

i can’t wait for people to realize that artists who genuinely have a love for the art of music itself aren’t making music for you…like at all. it’s for them & you’re just getting the privilege of hearing where they are creatively.
As suspected, Lara wants nothing to do with the Society of Raiders. The fact it was founded by her great-grandfather only reinforces a classic part of her character: refusing to become what others expect and adventuring simply because she loves it. Lara Croft, I’ve missed you 🥲
Well I also think that no story about the Croft family or their descendants should be added because I believe—and this is my personal opinion—that Lara has always gone against her own family’s wishes. Her passion for exploring the world and its secrets comes from within herself🫡
