@JoannaMoomin Firing a loco certainly gives good shovelling skills for rubble disposal π. When I demolished a clay model, the people I was with were surprised at how efficient and quick I was shovelling it into the skip. Said I'm just treating the skip like a firebox of a steam loco π
@iconawrites But so many at school knew I was a big history buff, which was why when it was my lowest grade, they were shocked. The fact of the matter was it was not the history subject I wanted to learn about. I certainly learned more from horrible histories & my own research, then my teache
@iconawrites I still love history, just not the what's & hows of wars. Talk to me about say the battleships of war or what women & railways did during wars. Not spend half the year on the assignation of Franz ferdinand only for it to be 1 question (yes that happened & part of why I failed)
@ItsEmilyKaty Yep, bullied throughout school. Even had a police incident where a teacher deleted evidence of me being beaten up for just minding my own business. College not much better (dropped out after 6 weeks) my mam still keeps trying to force me back to college despite me being nearly 30
@DRIVETRIBE 100% my Jimny back in 2022, sold it to clear some debts regretted it instantly (and realised i could have made it work keeping it)was cursed with different car issues for a year after
Noticed its back up for sale at the mo, if i could i would buy it back, sadly can't afford to.
@ItsEmilyKaty Also, staff asking for really stupid requests with no thought (even more so upper management). Basically, other people are what i struggle with. Its only really a ok wage that even stops me going self employed and trying to learn a craft (that and being bad at interviews) 2/2
@ItsEmilyKaty Group gatherings (ie away days and such) my manager tried persuading me to attend one at the office, i ended up breaking a stim toy and started having a panic attack and shutting down.
Also other staff being so clueless on rather simple things gets me struggling. 1/2
@JoanneMCrompton If it wasn't for the fact, I'm not local, & I'd have to post them out to you somehow. I'd have offered to print it myself (probably be better quality than the local print shop too) it'd take longer to print than set up.
As a side, make sure the total page count is multiple of 4.
@JoanneMCrompton However another method you could try if the print shop is being daft. Do a print as pdf 2 pages to sheet of A3, so the pages as spreads (its a bugbear when we get files like that, so we prefer single page files, but that print shop might do better with it as spreads)
@ItsEmilyKaty With it being your first? words of advice, listen to music or talk to the artist (if they're a talking type, mines a very calming person to talk to) don't tense and just focus on breathing and relax. Try and stim as well. Finally it'll be great and so worth it, you'll be fine π
@SimoneGiertz As someone who lives on a Uk canal boat (a Narrowboat at that, 6ft 10 wide for those that dont know), these would be an ideal space saver for narrowboat closets. Plus be able to have them against the side of the hull. Get international sshipping on these.
@HubNutVids I'm not sure what exactly was wrong, but it appeared to be multiple things, as his engine was hunting, and if he put it into drive it stalled. But the fact no one, stopped to offer him a 200-yard push just shows how little people care.
@HubNutVids I did similar when walking back from the shop. Spotted a nissan cube with hazards on right on a busy junction, everyone just driving round honking at him. I walk up the verge (due to no path) offer him a push into the car park, 5 minutes out of my day, but he was safe.
@ItsEmilyKaty Get the best you can. Though No matter what you get it won't be enough in my experienceπ I went to Iceland and had proper fishing style waders thinking that would be fine over my trousers, But nope, after a horse ride in the rain in March, i was still soaked through to skin π€£
@ItsEmilyKaty Feel this alot, feels like time has gone so fast with little happened. Was made redundant in covid, I've been in my current job nearly 2 years and its been 4 months since my birthday trip, Then 9 months since i was evicted and moved onto a boat π³ time is going way too fast.
