@SKenson Lately I'm loving Forged in the Dark because of the chance for long term injury/trauma. I've had serious physical trauma and sometimes the more lasting effect is mental.

@dch4 That's fair. It is a dodge. I do think some people might might need a firearm for self-defense but I feel your phrasing of it made it seem like a universal need. I was trying to make a point that it did not seem as universal and phrased it very poorly.
I don't know why so many writers have cats. Pouring your heart into something is really hard with someone who insists your keyboard is their bed. #Writing
@jesthehuman My son loved Hero Kids and ran games at 4. For adults who love narrative and English degrees Apocalypse Engine is great. If you're more board gamey I've had great luck with Index Card RPG.
Parties are flawed. Candidates are human. No one is perfect. Voting for the lesser of two evils is harm reduction. Consider running for office or finding someone local you believe in and volunteer for them b/c local politics matter.
