This week I released the first episode of my new podcast, @archnemesispod. First episode is with Sarah Watkins from @TTGSTL on the tenant movement in St. Louis. It’s available on Spotify (https://t.co/zgbQPZbv8i) and Apple Podcasts!
After reporting he was raped while in ICE detention at Delaney Hall, a gay asylum seeker from Colombia (who is married to a US citizen) was transferred from the Delaney to a different facility in Mississippi with no explanation. Staff are also denying him his HIV medication.
@QueenMab87 There is an inverse relationship between the relative importance self-described leftists place on elections and their commitment to anti-imperialism. The sooner we put proper emphasis on international solidarity, the sooner we stop this from happening.
I’m so proud to have DSA by my side, united in our fight against price gouging, big real estate, and billionaires influencing our politics.
Let’s win this on August 4th!
People are upset about the World Cup because instead of bringing the world together it’s another reminder of how unjust the world is.
It’s not a conspiracy. A Somali referee was denied entry to the U.S., that’s a fact. The U.S. tried to swap Iran for Italy, and then mistreated the team, that’s a fact. The U.S. president made a call to reverse a red card for an American player, that’s a fact…
From discrimination and over-priced tickets, to commercial breaks and VAR issues, many people who have watched and enjoyed the World Cup since childhood are more than disappointed. The whole tournament was tainted from the beginning, starting with a fake peace prize to gratify the host country.
@antifa_17 This is the main benefit of electoral organizing. Even when you get the reforms, it has more to do with building the popular base to force that outcome. It can't be limited to elections though, or people will become disillusioned.
@barbarismcrit@neeratanden There's also hours of video of Biden being creepy to women and girls before even before Tara Reade's story got any attention.
@eemaanishere@GoodVibePolitik DSA is a democratic organization. Two members don't make decisions for the organization, which did not approve a vote to endorse him.
@barbarismcrit Ascribing political motivations to the accuser is never the first instinct to go with. It was pretty sad seeing this happen the last time.
