I’m not sure who has “zero interest” in it and would need to see specific examples. I think every conservative wants to limit government power in certain key areas. But also every conservative, if they are conservative at all, wants to wield and even expand government power in other areas. For example, if you favor a national ban on abortion (as I do) then you are advocating for an expansion of government power and authority beyond what it currently exercises in at least one key area. So if you are finding that some conservatives are pushing back on the “limited government” slogan, it’s not because they disagree across the board in principle but rather because they find the slogan generic, unclear, and useless — and they’ve also noticed that literally no Republican in at least 100 years has actually made government smaller and less powerful in aggregate, which again speaks to the slogan being rather useless in practice.

The special interest/ lobbyist groups have a heck of a hold yet.

@alohasofia_ I think climate change is real - and a natural cycle of earth but the reasons they tell us are bs. They take advantage of something natural to scare us into more control and taxes 😂

I was accosted by security at Durham VA, they tried to force a mask on me, had to hold one to my face just to walk out.

This crap is ridiculous. They treat Veterans like criminals when we try to update an ID, or go to an appointment.

It should be as simple as one call to make a dozen requests via the VA... medical, dental, housing, appointments, travel, ALL of it.

Its almost like they dont want actual solutions when they can milk the system for more $ my being Morons drug around by their noses via buracuracy.
