@andy_mazey Towse, Harrison, Ward, Pratt (Wakefield) all coming from York community clubs, not a bad start, there are others too which are currently in SL systems elsewhere
@andy_mazey Different ideas and opinions which make for good talking point, it will take several years to develop a pathway where you have York talent coming through which has started at younger age groups. If the money is there I think its a good temp quick fix...
@andy_mazey It is within the rules, smart way of feeding the SL team without their own establishment pathways, will probably be difficult to achieve to the same level even if they want too next year with salary cap coming in...
@AaronBower A couple of rational points here:
- trains affected
- earlier in the year (less time to save up)
- other games played across the weekend
- lost some of the attendance from recent years by not having 1895 cup there
@pcooke06@hallyboy03@Tysonkidd11 Any of his teammates who could transition to Rugby League in a short off season to ease the injury crisis in the sport?
It took over 250 years to build York Minster.
The first builders knew they would never see it finished, yet they started the work anyway.
When you believe in eternity, you build differently.
Toulouse, Bradford and York have all won 3 matches from 9 to start Super League.
If you would have been told that before the season started, it would have been seen as an outstanding return.
The Giants Draw winner for Round 2 is Chris Chatten with York Knights.
Chris has kindly donated his winnings back to the club to further support our match day costs of hosting this round.
Thank-you for your generosity Chris

@CruRLSC From what I have read the current owners want others to invest in the club...unlikely to happen, would they be willing to sell the club for free (like they secured it) to new owners that were willing to take accountability and responsibility for growing the club?
