Currently there's a national "sChOoL cHoIcE" group colluding with the establishment AZ House Speaker to give Katie Hobbs her signature victory — adding new regulation to ESAs.
Why? Because the group failed massively at their last gambit and pissed off one of their largest donors, so they're trying to save face.
The establishment keeps saying "we have to regulate ESAs to save ESAs"
Sounds a hell of a lot like George W. Bush saying "we have to abandon the free market to save the free market"
ESAs are the most accountable, successful government program that likely ever existed.
The rate of fraud or major misspending is 0.3%
There are literally zero government programs that operate with such impeccable accountability.
Make no mistake, if Establishment House Republicans do this they will be freeing up $10-15 MILLION in Democrat campaign spending to support Hobbs, Fontes and Mayes.
Establishment House Republicans will be handing Hobbs her crowning achievement.
She'll run on Trump tax cuts and "fighting waste fraud and abuse" — and she'll be the only Democrat in America with the pretext to support such a narrative.
Establishment House Republicans will energize the Democrat base, while infuriating our own base and depressing turnout in November.
This is a crappy deal just like the ones that have pissed you off for decades in Washington DC.
It might as well have been negotiated by John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.
Arizona conservatives, get loud now if you want any chance to stop it.
While my primary opponent travels the state talking about ending lawfare, his campaign manager is busy filing bar complaints trying to destroy his political opponents.
Lawfare is a Democrat tactic. Arizona Republicans deserve better.
So @votewarren's campaign filed an @AZStateBar complaint over an op-ed backing his opponent in the race for attorney general, @rodneyglassman.
This is after Petersen said he worked to oppose "frivolous" complaints.
"Hypocritical," the attorney told me. https://t.co/0dpgIzJUJB
Just ran 3 miles chasing my dumb dogs down a mountain after they escaped the Airbnb. I'm bleeding, tired, and grateful for all the cars not hitting them. Not grateful to the neighbor who said, that's a busy road down there. You slowed me down with your obvious statement.
@jamesandamerica All lawmakers are lawyers! What am I thinking?!
I'm an NFL fan of my Detroit Lions. I study it. Watch every game. So I'm basically Dan Campbell.
Congratulations to Arizona’s own Justin Gaethje and Sean O’Malley on their impressive victories last night at UFC Freedom 250! 🇺🇸
What a historic night on the White House lawn to kick off America’s 250th birthday celebration. Thank you @POTUS!
