Oxford United are delighted that our planning application for a new 16,000 capacity stadium on land north of the city has been approved by Cherwell District Council.
@OUFCOfficial Good to see the club using the City in its marketing. Leveraging the rich history and culture of Oxford is essential to showcasing the club to future players and fans.
Des leaves the club after a promotion and with us sat outside of the relegation zone of one of the hardest leagues in the world. He fostered a sense of unity between players and fans and put a smile back on the face of the city. The decision to sack him is disgraceful. #OUFC
Oxford United can confirm that Des Buckingham has left his role as Men’s First Team Head Coach.

The Conservatives have overseen 12 years of economic stagnation, declining public services and empty promises.
We don’t need to change the Tory at the top – we need a proper change of government.
We need a fresh start for Britain.
As part of @IKEAUK's ‘Let play unwind your mind’ campaign, we created ‘Living Room Run’, an online game that helps you enjoy the wellbeing benefits of play. And gives IKEA Family members the chance to win a £500 prize. Enjoy and good luck! https://t.co/ESziVn7CXs
The choice is clearer than ever before:
Divided Tories propping up Boris Johnson with no plan to tackle the issues you are facing.
Or a united Labour Party with a plan to fix the cost of living crisis and restore trust in politics.
Labour will get Britain back on track.
