The CME from the X9.0 flare is now visible in LASCO C2 imagery. The view is quite messy, but it does look like there is a substantial and rather fast (full) halo CME. Looks much more substantial than the one from the X7.1. This is preliminary, more as more data is available.
Active Region 3842 produces another (R3 - Strong) solar flare, an X9.0 at 1218 UTC on October 3rd, 2024.
