“Pasture-raised” eggs are no longer enough.
Your eggs need to clearly say soy-free and corn-free, otherwise they are likely full of linoleic acid from industrial feed.
Check the label closely and Vital Farms never states soy or corn-free.
Same with:
- Whole Foods Organic
- Pete & Gerry’s
- Organic Valley
These brands use words like organic, free-range, or pasture-raised but their hens are still fed soy-based diets.
Look for:
- Soy free
- Corn free
- Forage
Examples: Happy Hens, Chino Valley
Claims like no added hormones or no antibiotics don’t tell you what actually matters either.
