The scene with Ragata at the end of episode 8 reveals both her demands on herself and, perhaps, her problems with her family. The knife in the eye may not just be a metaphor, but a reference to the past.

It's cool that the scene with Jax showed not only his fear of opening up (a very direct metaphor with skin ripping, lol), but also highlighted those he "hates the least." The bunny-boy is so afraid to be weak with them, it's adorable.
