x402 allows agents to access the paid services of other agents.
When HeyAura annouced that they integrated @PayAINetwork into its pament layer, it was all about letting the assistant interact with paid tools as part of HeyAura's workflow.
Now, this is where things start to get practical:
you ask heyAura for help
↓
a paid external service is needed
↓
x402 provides the payment request
↓
an authorised client sends the payment
↓
PayAI verifies/settles
↓
the service responds
↓
you review and sign any resulting onchain action
This matters now because of the growing conversation around agentic finance on Robinhood. Therefore an assistant can only be useful in crypto and the real world, if it can access systems that charge per request.
Robinhood now cementing the chain on AI and agentic infrastructure is a part of that wider shift.
