First time since 1987! Kapaun is into the 5A state championship game for the first time in 36 years as they defeat Goddard Eisenhower, 42-39. Advance to take on 4x defending state champion Mill Valley. Awesome job by Weston Schartz who has had success at multiple Wichita area programs. Kapaun features one of the best players in all of Kansas in Omari Elias. #sportsinkansas

After 24 years, @kmcathletics has finally ended the 26-game losing streak to rival Bishop Carroll.

None of these kids were even born in 1999, the last time Kapaun won in this rivalry. What a moment for these players who dreamed about this.
