Appointed in 1969 and retired in 2005, BC Blaich bravely served in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.
Today we honor Sergeant Robert Masci of the Drug Enforcement Task Force, who passed on June 9, 2018, from a World Trade Center-related illness.
A United States Air Force veteran, Sergeant Masci served with the New York City Police Department for 32 years. His service to his country, the Department, and the people of New York City is remembered with respect.

On the anniversary of his passing, we remember Sergeant William O’Shaughnessy of the 28 Precinct, who was shot and killed on June 7, 1932, after responding to a robbery.
