@Neo_Sooul@Ta_Hlumza If the argument is that auditioning actors of a mature age is an exercise in futility because you're not gonna get anything different from what you have seen them play over the years, then I completely agree. They should NOT be auditioned.
@Mashi_RSA@Ta_Hlumza Do you know how often actors "steal" roles from each other? You write a role with one actor in mind, you get to the auditions, another actor shocks you in the best possible way and takes it. Happens all the time.
@Zooka_The_King@Ta_Hlumza I understand the sentiment. I do. But there's a reason why some roles need Denzel and others need Samuel L Jackson. There are nuances you get from Denzel that you can't get from Samuel, and vice versa.
Today, #InimbaMzansi turns one.
A year ago, on the 14th of April 2025, we introduced a story to the world, one that began with a simple, provocative question:
“What if a newlywed, new mother is given the opportunity of a lifetime, and chooses herself, even when it costs her everything?”
I never imagined, in my wildest dreams, that this story would grow into what it has become. That it would travel beyond our expectations. That it would find its way into so many homes, and more importantly, so many hearts.
What started as a “what-if” has become a living, breathing world, one that continues to evolve, expand, and resonate. A world where love is tested, ambition is challenged, and choices have consequences.
This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
And the most beautiful part?
We’re still having fun. We’re still telling the story. And the world of Inimba is only getting bigger, bolder, and even more unforgettable.
To everyone who has watched, supported, believed, and carried this story with us, thank you.
The journey continues.
@mkhura7@Chrisq_writes This is how Issa Rae made it big in Hollywood 🔥👌🏾 & Insecure did so well. The power of YouTube. May Chris also thrive like she did.
