I’ve been struggling with my eligibility situation for the past few months, and I want to be let it be known about what’s going on, especially since I’ve had many coaches and others reach out asking about it.
Due to previous seasons that I was unable to complete - including a documented injury in 2022 that ended my season after just one game. I am currently fighting to receive another year of eligibility so I can have the opportunity to compete again and finish my education. I have all the medical documentation, doctor’s records, trainer verification, and coach statements to support this.
What’s been especially difficult is that the entire time I was at my prior university, I was under the understanding that I still had another year of eligibility remaining. I didn’t find out otherwise until late November, which completely changed my plans academically, athletically, and for my family.
I also was unable to have a waiver submitted through my prior university, so I’m currently trying to find the right guidance and support moving forward. That’s what led me to enter the portal, and it’s also why I haven’t been able to find the right home for next season yet.
I’ve seen other players in similar situations be able to continue, and I believe I deserve the same opportunity. I’m looking for help from anyone familiar with my situation or the NCAA waiver process who can point me in the right direction.
Just for the fun of it, I’m giving away a Bears jersey of your choice.

Today is the biggest Bears game since I don’t know when. This one will be different for me, I won’t be watching from the comfort of my own man cave or at a friends house.
I’ll be watching on my laptop from the corner unit in the oncology ward, as my youngest daughter receives chemotherapy to fight Stage 4 Kidney cancer.
I’ve never felt so close to hell being surrounded by rooms of balding, crying children and one of them being my own.
I have hope that through it all God is still good. I am confident of this.
But mann would it ever help if the Bears beat the Packers today. 🐻⬇️
That Bears loss stung but seeing Caleb ball out and the team fight until the end has me feeling generous. I’m giving away a Bears jersey of your choice.
