ISRAEL THE SON OF GOD is an eye opening journey from Genesis to Revelation which brings to light the extreme continuity of the Bible in a way that has never been presented before. The Bible's Old Testament leaves us with a divided and condemned Israel left only with the hope of a coming Messiah. Learn for the first time the untold truth concerning the full identity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how He and His church relate to the present reality of a resurrected and reunited kingdom of Israel. https://t.co/WO17s7RPgj
The return of Jesus and the rapture are the same thing. It's explained very clearly in Matthew 24.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
Matthew 24:29-31 KJV
@TheBelieverJC@narrow_road_2 No, God has not rejected ethnic Israel, the are welcome to follow the King of Israel, Jesus Christ, too. If they had been rejected, Jesus would not accept them, but He is MORE than willing if they would just submit and have faith in Him.
@TheBelieverJC Why is it so hard to understand that Israel consists of the King of Israel, Jesus Christ, and all who bend a knee to Him, regardless of ethnicity?
@brandilwells The elites definitely believe this, and Satan has won the soul of all who have fallen for it. Come out of the darkness and into the True Light of Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:35 (KJV)
“Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.”
You’re reading something into the text that isn’t there. John says the Word was with God, but “with” does not mean “a different god.” It simply describes a relationship between the Word and God.
Your argument assumes that because John wrote ton theon (“the God”) and later wrote theos without the article, he must be referring to two different gods. But Greek grammar does not make that conclusion. The Greek article serves grammatical functions that do not exist in the same way in English.
If John wanted to teach that the Word was a different god from Father God, then you need to demonstrate that from the grammar itself, not merely assume it from the presence or absence of the article.
The Word and the Father are one, just as the Scripture teaches. The issue is not with God, but with the limitations of human understanding as we seek to comprehend how the one God reveals Himself. It is very difficult for the mind of man to comprehend, for God’s ways are higher than our ways.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
— Isaiah 55:8–9 (KJV)
No one is arguing that the Word was with Himself. The Word being distinct from the Father is not in dispute. What remains unproven is your claim that ton theon and theos refer to different gods. The Greek language itself does not encode that conclusion. Those are simply different grammatical forms of the same noun, required by their functions in the sentence. By appealing to John 1:18, you’ve shifted from a grammatical argument to a theological one without demonstrating your original claim from John 1:1. Moreover, John not only says the Word was with God, but also that the Word was God. Any interpretation must account for both statements. The grammar simply does not support your position.
That is incorrect. The definite article in ton theon distinguishes the one the Word was with; it does not imply there are multiple gods. Likewise, theon and theos are simply different grammatical cases of the same noun, required by their functions in the sentence. Therefore, the difference between theon and theos is grammatical, not theological, and cannot be used to argue for multiple gods in John 1:1.
The full Greek text of John 1:1 is:
Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος,
καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν,
καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.
Transliteration:
En archē ēn ho logos,
kai ho logos ēn pros ton theon,
kai theos ēn ho logos.
A literal rendering is:
“In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.”
@i_blanq@grok@MaxNordau@RealCandaceO John 1:1 (Greek): kai theos ēn ho logos (καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος)
There is no word for “a” in the Greek text. The phrase literally reads, “and the Word was God.” That is why the vast majority of Bible translations render John 1:1 as “the Word was God,” not “the Word was a god.”
The Jehovah Witnesses had to create their own Bible because their doctrines don't align with true Christianity. One example is John 1:1.
The New World Translation (Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Bible), John 1:1 reads:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.”
— John 1:1 (NWT)
In a real Christian Bible (King James Version) the Word was God, not a god.
The King James Version (KJV), John 1:1 reads:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
— John 1:1 (KJV)
Because after the first resurrection, Jesus will literally reign on this earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
Revelation 20:4-6 KJV
That blessing is Jesus Christ. Israel is a blessing to the world because of Jesus. It's all about Jesus. The land belongs to Jesus. The inheritance is in Jesus. How is everyone missing Jesus? God's plan was to bring about Jesus through Israel, and through faith in Jesus the inheritance of the land.
The Old Tesatment is a book that tells the story of Israel abandoning their God, and going whoring after the gods of the Gentiles. The New Testament is the book of God giving Israel a second chance through his son Jesus Christ. Those who chose Christ get to continue as the chosen people of God those who rejected Christ are no longer regarded as the children of God.
The Bible does not say a single word about Mary being from the tribe of Judah. Actually prophecy requires that Mary be of the tribe of Ephraim. The marriage of Mary and Joseph was a marriage of Ephraim and Judah. And then God, by the power of the Holy Ghost, conceived in Mary a child united of the two, thereby forever uniting Israel and Judah in the one body of Jesus Christ.
Being a Christian is what makes you a real Jew. The only people who are truly Jews are the Christians because they follow the King of the Jews, Jesus Christ.
“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2:28-29 KJV
“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
Romans 9:6-8 KJV
“And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Galatians 3:29 KJV
The confusion is caused by reading the Old Testament without wearing your New Testament glasses. The Old Testament is the mystery and the New Testament is the revelation of the mystery.
God is not going to bring an unfaithful people into the promised land of Israel. What took place in 1948 is lie, a powerful delusion as described in 2 Thessalonians 2.
It is not until the resurrection that Israel is returned to the promised land and, that return will include Jesus Christ, the King of Israel, and all the faithful in him.
@lifetosuccess@WellsJorda89710 The root of our faith is Jesus Christ, who was slain from the foundation of the world. Anyone ever saved was saved by the blood of Christ.
