I don't think people are talking enough about this scene...

Technically, Peter Parker dies.

That gunshot wasn't something he should've survived.

It wasn't Spider-Man's healing that saved him.

It was #JeanGrey.

She stayed outside the hospital for hours, using her powers to keep Peter alive. Every heartbeat. Every pulse. Every single breath he took before waking up... Jean was breathing for him.

Frank even points out that #Peter shouldn't have survived that wound.

The moment that completely broke me was at the end.

Jean takes one final deep breath...

...and at that exact moment, Peter opens his eyes and takes his first breath on his own.

That's when I realized every breath Peter took until then had been Jean's.

She literally refused to let him die.

No grand speech.

No dramatic confession.

Just silently staying by his side, keeping him alive until he was finally strong enough to breathe on his own.

That wasn't just beautiful storytelling...

Day 4 practice observations:

• Malachi Fields continues to stand out. Had a HUGE catch from Dart to start team. Also caught a hitch towards the end of practice both from Dart
• Odell Beckham Jr had a really nice TD grab in a RZ period. Got two feet down and ball was thrown as he was coming out of his break
• Paulson Adebo had an INT thrown by Dart. Ball was high and behind Mooney. Miscommunication on the depth of that route
• Tremaine Edmunds also had a leeping INT thrown by Dart in 7on7
• Jack Kelly had a great practice. Highlight of the day for him was going stride for stride against Calvin Austin deep down the field and breaking up a pass
• Giants started to run some 3 safety sets with Ar’Darius Washington, Jevon Holland and Tyler Nubin
• Offense is still overall sloppy and has kinks they need to work out
• Dominic Zvada kicked today. He went 12/13 on the day

•Dennard Wilson’s defense is giving fits to Jaxson Dart & the 1st team offense. INT’s by Paulson Adebo in team & Tremaine Edmunds in 7 on 7
•Theo Johnson made multiple big grabs down the field
•A lot of unique run scheme, and it looks good
•Don’t have exact numbers but Dominic Zvada was lights out

Hit on a few big moments earlier, here's a full practice report:

• It was a big day for the tight ends. Isaiah Likely had four catches on six targets in 11-on-11 and two catches on three targets in 7-on-7. He's going to be a safety valve for Jaxson Dart underneath the way Wan'Dale Robinson was. Likely's best play was beating Paulson Adebo deep in 7-on-7 lined up as the backside X in a 3x1 formation. Not many tight ends can do that.

Theo Johnson had two catches from Jameis Winston in 11-on-11 and one from Dart in 7-on-7. Johnson made a nice grab up the seam from Jameis ... and committed a false start on the next play. Been that type of camp so far.

Tanner Conner giving major Greg Dulcich vibes. Conner had five catches from Jameis in 11-on-11 and another in 7-on-7. Again, don't see Conner making the roster, but he's doing everything he can.

• Dart's best throw was the deep ball to Malachi Fields on the first play of team periods. Dart had another nice play in creation mode when he scrambled away from pressure by Shelby Harris and flipped the ball over a defender to Chris Manhertz as he approached the line of scrimmage. Another scramble was blown dead as Dart left the pocket.

• Rookie LB Jack Kelly nearly had an acrobatic interception on a deep pass from Dart to Calvin Austin. Dart held the ball in the pocket and it was under-thrown, allowing Kelly to keep pace with Austin and break-up the pass.

Kelly isn't getting first-team reps — Harbaugh sometimes mixes in second-team defenders during a period against the first-team offense. That's not the case for Deonte Banks, who got some legitimate first-team reps today. Banks and Tyrone Tracy were the top kick returners in ST drills.

• Dart again was under center a ton and was using a hard count all practice. There were a few pre-snap penalties on both sides of the ball, but Harbaugh said he was happy overall with the operation. Dart did have a fumbled snap under center.

• Darius Alexanders' interception to close Friday's practice was nice, but that's a bit of a fluke for a defensive tackle. His play on Saturday was much more encouraging. He stuffed a run, forced an incompletion with a pressure and got a sack on a stunt. It would be a major development if he makes a Year 2 leap.

• Dominic Zvada had an excellent day, making 13-of-14 field goals. His lone miss was ~47 yards during a special teams period. His long during that period was ~53 yards.

Six of Zvada's attempts were game like, where the kicking team came onto the field to replace the offense. Four of those were done at rapid pace as the Giants simulated getting onto the field for a last-second field goal. Zvada made all four of those kicks, with two of them from roughly 50 yards.
