Hey guys there’s a new social networking app called Lymelyte that is gaining popularity.
I made it because social media stopped feeling social to me. Too much of it is influencers, algorithms, and people posting for strangers instead of actually connecting with their real friends.
Lymelyte is an attempt to bring that back: a private, friends-only social network where you share your life as it unfolds and express who you are today, not perform for an audience. It’s a feed-based app where you can post photos & videos as well as what music you’re listening to, where you’re at, your thoughts, your activities, all in real time.
I’m inviting early people onto it now, and it would genuinely mean a lot to me if you downloaded it and signed up. But it’s up to you if you’d like to join.

@kframerate@SuppressedNws1 Absolutely. It’s a political shit show & it offers zero unique value proposition. It’s literally just a more antisemitic X. I’m not even a defender of Israel at all, but the app is a cesspool of garbage. It’s all political… no thank you
Didn’t copy Facebook. He built his own platform & iterated on another idea that never came to fruition. Ideas are cheap & arent owned by anyone. He built a revolutionary product.
Buying Instagram was objectively a art move for the company so I give him credit.
Not too familiar with wht happened to WhatsApp, but I don’t think the product has changed much other than Stories + maybe some ads.
@mattvanswol This is so absolutely correct. I grew up Christian and still am, but it’s propaganda predicated on people’s “feelings,” which is literally the opposite of Christ’s message. Some churches are still great though, but they can be tough to find.
@EthanLipnik I just prompt ChatGPT & dont even use Codex so it explains its decisions. For some reason Claude Code sucks w Swift/SwiftUI, at least for me.
