Should you ask a college coach if they're going to offer you or not?

The simplest answer is yes.

If the school has been especially communicative, has had you on multiple visits, you've had multiple positive camps, but there is still no offer that is forthcoming. You are within your rights to respectfully ask the coach what's going on.

If the school has not been communicative and has not been responsive to you, you probably shouldn't ask that.

"Coach, we have multiple committable offers with tight timelines. But to be blunt, were there an opportunity to commit to you, we would take it, no games. Is there any way to know if an offer is forthcoming? We just want to be respectful to your recruitment timeline while also juggling these other opportunities."

You still might be met with a wall of coach talk, but at least you tried to get an answer.
