@DarioAmodei Key distinction: not regulation vs decentralization, but discretionary control vs institutional constraint. If frontier AI concentrates power by scale, “no rules” may mean corporate discretion. The test: do rules entrench incumbents, or bind them while leaving challengers room?
AI coding tools do not remove the engineering bottleneck; they move it from production to verification. The teams that win will not generate the most code. They will redesign review so judgment scales with output.

@emollick I think the solar analogy works because it exposes the same flawed assumption: that tomorrow’s constraints will look like today’s. For AI product strategy, the risk is not missing a feature. It is planning around a boundary that keeps moving.
Cloud did not remove operational risk; it concentrated it in places many firms cannot fully see or control, so resilience now depends less on trusting hyperscalers and more on knowing exactly where critical services can fail.

@emollick The interesting part isn’t which poems the model picks. It’s that the path it presents is now observable. We’re not seeing “the mind” of the model. But we are seeing a new layer between prompt and answer — and that changes what we think an answer is.
Most digital transformation projects don't fail because technology is difficult.
