We have a great Messianic High Priest who has ascended into Heaven, fully human yet fully divine, who faced the direct temptations and trials of Satan himself and yet remained without sin. Tested in every way as we are, He never yielded to corruption, living a perfectly sinless life. Even in His humanity, He holds divine authority over all fallen angels and demonic spirits, demonstrating total victory over every force of darkness. As Hebrews 4:14–15 reminds us, “we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” By His obedience and triumph on the cross, He disarmed the powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them and establishing His reign as the sovereign King and eternal High Priest (Colossians 2:15). As James exhorts, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7), standing on the same foundation of victory that Christ exemplifies. You said these would be the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:7–8). We see these things unfolding all around us, and we know Your Word is true.
Lord, You also warned that Your followers would face persecution, that some would even be martyred for Your name, and that many would fall away from the faith as love grows cold (Matthew 24:9–12; 2 Thessalonians 2:3). You spoke of signs in the heavens, the moon turning to blood, the waters becoming like blood, and distress among the nations (Joel 2:31; Acts 2:20; Revelation 16:3–4; Luke 21:25). These are no longer distant possibilities; they are realities we are witnessing.
Some believe the Feast of Trumpets on September 23, 2025, could mark the season of the Rapture. For the Bible promises that the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
