@JakeLandauTO @SkullZSkeleton Yeah, again, just the extreme and unlikely example I was given. But at the same time, I guess there isn’t much on the other side as iconic as the Mario or Zelda themes, so I can understand the desire to protect it. Just wish there was an easier way for fans to enjoy it.

@JakeLandauTO @SkullZSkeleton I don’t think it’s the remixes they mind. The extreme (though unlikely) example I was given in an interview was that once subjected to mechanical licensed, something like the Mario theme could be used in a PlayStation or Xbox game.

@JakeLandauTO @SkullZSkeleton It’s not about costs. Once published on Spotify, anyone in the U.S. is allowed to publicly use the music in other media provided they pay royalties. However, Nintendo wants to have a say in how, when, and where their music is used. Mechanical license strips that control.

I need them to just go ahead and launch Wii - Nintendo Classics and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on Nintendo Switch 2, mostly just so I can finally retire my Wii U and prep that console for storage. Radiant Dawn is the only reason I keep the Wii U hooked up to my streaming setup.

@dajs2 @Genki_JPN Generally speaking, engineering the housing needed for a removable battery is going to take up additional space, so it will likely be one of the following:

1. Less space for battery, so lower capacity battery
2. Make the Switch larger and bulkier, similar capacity battery
