@KatieCMayers It only took Bart a suicide attempt just to make the crowd see how the townsfolk truly are; mean and selfish.
That's how I see this situation. Even if you are listening by seeing your mistake and do the right thing, people still won't forgive you. They expect you to be perfect.
@KatieCMayers Ellen scabbed, people moved on. Drew scabbed and did the right thing, people are still picking on her.
I remember this Simpson episode where Bart choked on a championship-winning catch during a baseball game. The entire town hated him.
@AmberMera007 Go on girl. This guy is completely insane. Last August when I heard that he stalked Drew (fan of hers btw), I was in shock, and scared too. And after reading his criminal history, I was like, "Why do they keep letting him out?"
This guy becomes more unhinged, and you prove it.
@KatieCMayers The criticism on Drew is getting harsher since the apology video came (and deleted). They made fun of her through memes, and many of them are bad. This is not criticism anymore. This is bullying. They act like Drew is the only one returning during the strike.
@KatieCMayers Drew Barrymore is a big, famous name, which makes her an easier target for all the backlash. You would expect this to fade away in the next few years, but due to cancel culture, it will stay.
Ellen's backlash faded away over the years because social media didn't exist back then.
@KatieCMayers The hundreds of staff needed to get paid, just like what you said before. If Drew stops during the strike, they won't get paid. They'll be suffering like the writers right now.
@KatieCMayers Since Drew is an easier target, harsh criticism only goes to her. This is also likely associated with mob mentality (e.g. multiple hate posts on Drew coming from normal accounts on IG).
Drew had a contract that she's not allowed to breach, or else she'll lose the show.
@KatieCMayers Remember the scene from Matilda (the one from 1996) when the kids finally kicked Trunchbull out of school and she never returned? That's how I see this situation, and cancel culture in general.
Kids - literally everyone else (esp. strike supporters)
Trunchbull - Drew
@KatieCMayers Agree on this. Problem is that they already treated Drew like she's done an evil thing. She's being cancelled on this BS
Partly this is the staff's choice, who might've made a request to CBS to force Drew to resume production so they can get paid, but at the writers' expense.
@cadag_noemi@MCambsl2 True dat. I stopped following AlDub since 2016 although I'm never a fan. These delulus are way worse than most KPop stans. This one acts like a cult.
These people can't accept reality, so they use their delusions as their coping mechanism.
@05Fatima_13 Wow, you must be delusional eh? You just can't handle the truth, real talk here. Just move on for God's sake. Maine and Arjo already got married and you still cling on with this? Take your meds please.
