⭕️ Sixteen Palestinian doctors held in Israeli torture prisons, rights group says

16 Palestinian doctors are being held in Israeli prisons in isolation, denied family visits, and subjected to starvation, medical neglect and torture, the Palestinian Center for Prisoners Advocacy said, calling it retaliation against medical staff who stayed at their posts during the war on Gaza.

The group highlighted the cases of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, who has faced abuse, isolation and threats, and Dr. Marwan al-Hams, who has been denied medication and family contact as his health deteriorates. It also noted that the whereabouts of some doctors are deliberately concealed.

◽️ Death Toll:
Children, women, and the elderly account for 36.5% of those killed and 49.7% of those wounded. Israeli forces have also detained 141 Palestinians since the ceasefire began.

◽️ Expanding Occupation:
Israel continues to occupy approximately 34 square kilometers beyond the agreed withdrawal lines, while blocking repairs to electricity, water, and sewage systems and preventing the entry of heavy machinery needed for reconstruction.

The report also cites the torture and inhuman treatment of detainees and the continued lack of clarity over the fate of missing Palestinians.

◽️ Aid Entry:
▪️ Israel allowed just 97 trucks into Gaza on Saturday, only 16.1% of the agreed daily total
▪️ All 97 were humanitarian aid trucks. No commercial or fuel trucks entered
▪️ During the past week, only 1,468 of the agreed 4,200 trucks entered Gaza, a compliance rate of 34.9%
▪️ Since the ceasefire began, just 35.5% of agreed deliveries have entered, averaging 213 trucks per day compared with the agreed 600
▪️ Fuel deliveries remain at only 14.9% of agreed levels
▪️ The report says Israel continues providing misleading figures to mediators while refusing independent international monitoring

◽️ Rafah Crossing:
▪️ Israel kept the crossing completely closed Saturday, with no travelers or returnees permitted to cross
▪️ Since the ceasefire began, 8,732 passengers have crossed out of 23,600 scheduled, a compliance rate of 37%
▪️ 88 people have been turned back

Israeli forces have averaged 13.3 ceasefire violations every day since the agreement took effect.
