I’ve seen the love for people & more importantly love for christ up close & personal at the church of 1122. Such a great testimony for the pastor to point away from himself & everything else except for Christ, biblical baptism, & salvation through the father son & the Holy Spirit
'For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life'.

@macbrunson Oh no. I hate you didn’t get to have that experience. I would say that they had the best fish & chips I’ve ever had over there, but now the whole rat situation has me feeling a little nervous. 😳🫣😬🙏🏻
The tragedy of #Auschwitz shows only the painful end of a long process. It's essential to remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred slowly grew from human ideas, words, prejudice, through legal exclusion, to dehumanisation, violence and murder. It's a warning.
"The greatest way to witness is through the life you live. Let the radiance of your Christian life be such that it will make [others] ask questions about your [faith]." #BillyGraham
When you come to the Bible, you need to shake your mind free from human political or ideological categories--liberal, socialist, conservative, populist. The Bible does not fit fully in any of them, and you should not be trying to read the Bible through those kinds of glasses.
“My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?” - C.S. Lewis
“We don’t know what the reason God allows suffering *is*. But we do know the what the reason God allows suffering *isn’t*. It *isn’t* because He doesn’t love or care us. He proved that through Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross.
William said: “As someone who lives with his own grief, I also know that what often matters most to the bereaved is that those we have lost are not forgotten. There is comfort in remembering.”
Lord,
I worry because I forget your wisdom.
I resent because I forget your mercy.
I covet because I forget your beauty.
I sin because I forget your holiness.
I fear because I forget your sovereignty.
You always remember me. Help me to remember you.
Amen...
“You—my only and dearest one—do not blame yourself for what happened. … Take care of the golden boy and don’t spoil him too much...” Vilma Grunwald wrote this to her husband after choosing to accompany their son to the gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Your life is not a series of random events. Your family background, education, and life experiences—even the most painful ones—all equip you to do some work that no one else can do (Eph 2.10).
