Before my #UMWRIT301 class began, I wasn’t aware that research was a part of the course but I must say I am thrilled bc I have the opportunity to learn so many new things & I am riveted to take on this new, exciting challenge that is motivating others to improve on writing.

The most interesting thing I learned in week 3 of #UMWRIT301 is all of the different competing views that have existed on how writing center research should be done, and I was surprised to learn that theoretical inquiry seems to have more approval than practitioner inquiry.

Academic writing & scholarly discourse is conceptualized through the metaphor of a never-ending conversation, meaning that new ideas, interpretations, and arguments will continuously occur through writing. There is no finish line, but there are infinite participants. #UMWRIT301
