Statement regarding Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller
In recent days, I have become aware of the removal of Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller from the Presidential Religious Liberty Commission, along with the public accusations that have followed. After reviewing her account and the circumstances surrounding this matter, I believe it is necessary to speak plainly.
Ms. Boller has been treated unjustly.
A Catholic woman, speaking from a well-formed conscience and in fidelity to the teachings of the Church, has been publicly criticized and removed – yet no clear, substantiated reason has been provided. Such a lack of transparency does not serve justice. It damages reputations and undermines trust.
More troubling still is the apparent cause: that she raised legitimate questions about Zionism and defended the simple truth that Catholics are not bound to any political ideology.
Let me be clear.
The Catholic Church does not teach that the modern State of Israel holds a divine mandate that must be supported by all believers. Nor does the Church teach that opposition to political Zionism is inherently antisemitic. These are not doctrines of the Catholic faith.
At the same time, the Church unequivocally rejects all hatred toward the Jewish people. Every human person is to be loved, defended, and treated with dignity. But this truth must not be distorted. To question the policies or actions of a modern nation – any nation – is not hatred. It is a moral responsibility when innocent life is at stake.
We are witnessing great suffering in the Holy Land. Innocent men, women, and children – especially in Gaza – have endured immense devastation. To speak on behalf of human life, wherever it is threatened, is not political extremism. It is fidelity to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Boller did what many are now afraid to do: she spoke.
She spoke for Catholics who are increasingly pressured to conform to political narratives that do not reflect the fullness of our faith. She spoke to ensure that antisemitism is not wrongly conflated with legitimate moral concern. She spoke for the dignity of all human life – Jew and Palestinian alike.
For this, she has been mischaracterized.
It is especially disheartening when such treatment appears to come, in part, from those within the Church who should be the first to defend the faithful when they speak truthfully and in good conscience. Shepherds are called to protect, not to abandon; to clarify, not to confuse; to stand with the sheep, especially when they are under attack.
Silence in the face of injustice is not prudence. It is a failure of charity and truth. Therefore, I express my support for Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller.
I affirm her right, as a Catholic and as an American, to speak clearly about matters of faith, morality, and public life without being unjustly labeled or removed without explanation. I also call for greater clarity and fairness from those responsible for her removal, so that truth – not speculation – may prevail.
This moment calls for courage.
Not political courage, but Christian courage – the kind that stands firmly in truth while remaining rooted in charity. We must reject hatred in all its forms, but we must also reject the misuse of that charge to silence those who speak in defense of life and moral truth.
Let us pray for peace in the Holy Land – for Jews, for Palestinians, and for all who suffer. And let us pray for the Church, that she may always speak with clarity, charity, and unwavering fidelity to Jesus Christ, who is the Truth.
In Christ,
Bishop Joseph E. Strickland
On this Memorial of St. Blaise, it is customary in many places to bless the throats of the faithful with two candles tied together with a red ribbon to form a cross. The rite of the blessing of throats may take place before or after Mass.
The priest or deacon places the candles around the throat of whoever seeks the blessing, using the formula:
"Through the intercession of St. Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you free from every disease of the throat, and from every other disease. In the name of the Father and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit. R. Amen." (Excerpted from Ceremonies of the Liturgical Year)
@OzraeliAvi@RealCandaceO Woooooooowwwwwwww.......
Seriously? 😳 People like you exist in real life?
She is someone's wife, mother, sister..... Why can't people just leave her alone to live her life. If you don't like her, just unfollow her. It's literally so simple. Why celebrate potential evil???
@RealCandaceO Candace is a young mother, a young wife, a traditional Catholic, a homeschooler, and an investigative journalist.
She gives hope and purpose to so many people around the world, and the fact that THEY will not just leave her alone is sickening.
SANCTE MICHAEL, ORA PRO NOBIS 🙏
🚨 URGENT
Two days ago I was contacted by a high-ranking employee of the French Government. After determining this person’s position and proximity to the French couple, I have deemed the information they gave me to be credible enough to share publicly in the event that something happens.
In short, this person claims that the Macrons have executed upon and paid for my assassination. Yes, you read that correctly. More specifically, that the green light was given to a small team in National Gendamarie Intervention Group. I am told there is one Israeli that is on this assasination squad and the plans were formalized.
Again, this person provided concrete proof that they are well placed within the French government apparatus.
Further to this point, this person claims that Charlie Kirk’s assassin trained with the French legion 13th brigade with multi-state involvement.
Journalist Xavier Poussard’s life is also at risk. This is deadly serious. The head of state of France apparently wants us both dead and has authorized professional units to carry this out.
I ask that every person RETWEET and share this.
I do not know who in the American government can be trusted, since this source claims our leaders are aware. But I have more specific information which is definitively verifiable, should they care to reach out to me.
To the brave official in France who did this because they were so moved by the evil of Charlie’s public execution to risk their own life— May God bless you. Truly.
Let all be revealed.
This is surreal! I’m flying over the places where the Bible stories happened — the Red Sea, Mount Sinai, not far from Jerusalem. Gaza City just popped up on the seat-back map in front of me. I just had the chicken, not the pasta, and the flight attendant gave me a nice bottle of water. So I’m fine, but what a stark contrast from up here to down there! I wonder if some starving Palestinian kid is looking up at me right now, wondering if anyone onboard the airplane flying over his nightmare cares that yesterday his baby sister joined the list of 50,000 dead and maimed Palestinian kids in Gaza. I wonder what I would say to him if I could parachute down there right now. I’d tell him how sorry I am, of course, but how would that not ring hollow and trite after the Hell on earth he’s been through? Maybe I’d tell him he’s not alone, not invisible, that millions of us see him. But isn’t that way too little and a lot too late? Us seeing him will not bring his baby sister back. Would it comfort him to know that most of the outside world know he’s not the problem, that he’s not Hamas, he’s just a kid who doesn’t know what it’s like to live without the stench of death in his nostrils and the sound of machine gunfire in his ears. He’s just a baby victim of man’s inhumanity to man. He’s not Hamas. This kid’s a Christian and he knows that what’s happening to that pile of rubble that used to be his neighborhood has little to do with Hamas. He knows that Hamas has become the Covid, the George Floyd, the climate crisis — the scary excuse needed to justify locking people down, abolishing law and order, vaxxing and bombing kids, and grabbing power, land, and sovereignty. Nobody down there thinks this daily payload of starvation and rockets has anything to do with October 7, 2023 anymore. That was two years ago. This is just the latest act in a sick tragedy that’s been playing out for decades — long before most Americans had become experts on “hostages & Hamas,” by the way. But even some of the most gullible mask-wearing TV-watching American “experts” can see that Genocide is going on down there, and it’s being committed in our name and in the Name of God. So in addition to the blood of ethnic cleansing, we also have blasphemy on our hands.
What can we do? Pray and be silent no more! Ask God to forgive us for what we’re doing to those kids and their moms and their dads down there — whether they’re Muslim or Christian. It doesn’t matter. This atrocity, this war crime, this annihilation of nations violates every law of God and man and it must stop!
So, I guess what I’d say to that kid down there is this: we’re not all soulless, heartless warmongering neocons; many of us will not be silent in the face of this evil. And we will never forget what happened here. We must not forget, because if they can do this to Palestinian children, they can do this to anyone’s children … including ours. The precedent has been set. The die is cast. May God have mercy on us all.
What happens now is that refugees will be divided amongst western countries. Our tax dollars will go to rebuild the area and the literal satanic demons that plotted this since long before October 7th will encourage people to come visit the “beach town of Gaza”.
That is what the future looks like.
We all need to positively shame and look on with utter disgust toward every family or individual, or businessman in the future who owns property or goes on a beach vacation to that region.
Stigmatize these heartless roaches who will pretend that what happened in Gaza was some unfortunate or necessary event.
These demons will identify themselves as the synagogue of Satan.
We need to keep the memory of what happened here and make sure our children know the truth as they attempt to rewrite history.
#NeverForget what they did to the Palestinians.
Our traditions, beliefs, and cultural identity were sold for diplomatic favor. Kenya didn’t vote YES—Ruto did. We will not be silenced as our values are compromised.
