@jorrrdy@SimonHarrisTD I'm so sorry you've had to go through that Catherine, I totally agree that providing us with PRSI contributions seems like a pretty easy and basic way to improve our conditions. I wouldn't be able to provide for myself if I became ill or decided to have a baby.
Not to mention no PRSI stamp is paid while you're a PhD researcher leaving us with no rights to basic financial support such a maternity benefit for 2 tax years after. I am currently on my 2nd unpaid maternity leave because I chose to get a doctorate.
