The street is not a safe place for anyone to live - and these #homesforpeople will bring people inside and connect them to the supports and staff they need to get back up on their feet in their community.
We’re getting people inside warm, supportive homes and off the street in New West 🏡
So proud of this 52 unit supportive housing building under construction in MLA @JM_Whiteside’s community that will be a supported, fresh start for people who are homeless or at risk.
It was great to tour the new homes with Mayor Patrick Johnstone and Councillor Tasha Henderson. Huge thank to New West City Council for their continued leadership in supporting housing for all people.
22 new complex care homes are coming to Nanaimo.
Construction is underway on a 22-unit building at 1850 Boxwood Rd. for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness who have complex needs. With 24/7 supports and @VanIslandHealth services, completion is expected in 2028.

A #homesforpeople 🧵
We are so proud to fund this much-needed housing through our Community Housing Fund with $26 million. Seniors deserve support so they can age well in the communities they have contributed so much to. We are delivering this housing to do just that.
BC Place has been full for every match. FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver has welcomed more than 250,000 people. More than 16,500 visitors have stopped by Destination BC’s Home Pitch. YVR has seen nearly 1.8 million passengers since June 2.
Construction is underway for 158 affordable rental homes for seniors in Coquitlam.
Located at two sites, these homes will help low- to moderate-income seniors stay in the community they call home.
Thanks to @cityofcoquitlam and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for coming #Together4Housing.
Halfway through the FIFA World Cup 2026™, B.C. is showing the world what it means to host. ⚽🌎
From Canada’s historic first point, to a 6-0 win in Vancouver, to our first-ever knockout stage win — this tournament has already created unforgettable moments.
I often hear from hard working British Columbians worried they’ll never be able to own a home because they can’t save up enough for a down payment & don’t have help from family.
We’re working to create an affordable path to home ownership, to help you get your foot in the door.
If you’re a developer who bet on the high end of the market and you’re facing a loss of profits: this program will not help you.
We’re acquiring units below the cost of construction and making them available as rentals for British Columbians — with a path to home ownership.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the process. We’ll continue working with the Regional District of Okanagan‑Similkameen and the Osoyoos Indian Band to support a smooth transition to municipal governance.

Okanagan Falls is becoming a municipality—the first in B.C. in 16 years.
As the District of Okanagan Falls, residents will elect a mayor and four councillors in the 2026 General Local Elections. This puts local decisions in local hands.

We’re going to help regular people working good jobs, renting and paying what they would for a mortgage, become first-time homeowners.
And we’re going to expand transit and health care facilities.
Your BC NDP government is working for you.
🚨BIG housing news for British Columbians🚨
Today, BC and the federal government announced that we’re investing more than $5 billion in our province’s infrastructure.
We’re going to use that $ to build more housing that people can actually afford.
We build. The Conservatives cause chaos.
We’re building more homes for people. They’re focused on division and distraction.
Proud of our record. Focused on results.

Kerry-Lynne Findlay can’t simply ignore this, try as she might. It’s an incredibly serious charge against a political ally and the bare minimum she can do is comment.
Right now the message is: she won't comment if someone is of political use to her.
