"President Trump is the most family friendly president we've ever had."
Katie Zacharia says President Trump knew she was raising four children when he entrusted her with a demanding White House role, and she believes that decision speaks volumes.
"He knew that this job would be demanding and still placed his trust in me... I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family, include my kids in my work. Though my work will be demanding, they will always be a priority.""
Zacharia praises Trump as a family-friendly president while explaining how she intends to bring her children into her professional life whenever possible.
She also credits Karoline Leavitt with helping her navigate the challenges of balancing motherhood and a high-profile career.
Zohran Mamdani was recently asked a very simple question:
“What does socialism mean to you?”
And his answer was revealing.
He said, essentially, that everyone should have what they need to live a dignified life, and that it is the government’s job to deliver that.
Now stop right there.
Because whenever somebody says, “The government will provide it,” there is one question that has to come next:
With whose money?
The government does not create wealth.
It does not grow food.
It does not build companies.
It does not magically manufacture money without consequences.
To provide something to one person, it first has to take resources from somewhere else.
That is the part of the conversation politicians love to skip.
Mamdani calls his philosophy democratic socialism.
My concern is the underlying idea that the state increasingly becomes responsible for deciding what you need and then redistributing resources to provide it.
That is statism.
It is the belief that more and more of society’s problems should ultimately be solved by the state.
And once you accept that premise, there is another uncomfortable question:
Where is the limit?
How much can the government take from the people producing income in order to satisfy promises made to everyone else?
Politicians love the phrase “fair share.” Bernie Sanders has used it for years.
But what exactly is a fair share?
• 10%?
• 20%?
• 40%?
• 50%?
At what point does “fair share” simply mean: More than you’re paying right now.
And here's something else that gets mangled in this debate.
A substantial share of American households owe no federal individual income tax in a given year. That does not mean they pay no taxes at all. Many still pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, property taxes and other taxes.
But politically, you can still create a dangerous incentive when more voters are promised benefits paid for primarily by somebody else.
Because giving things away is incredibly popular. Paying for them is considerably less popular.
And eventually, if you make it sufficiently expensive to build businesses, invest capital, create jobs or accumulate wealth, people change their behavior.
• Capital moves.
• Businesses move.
• People move.
You cannot endlessly treat productive economic activity as an unlimited ATM and then act surprised when somebody eventually pulls the card out.
That is the part of socialism that deserves much more scrutiny.
The question is not whether people deserve dignity.
Of course they do.
The real question is: Who decides what a dignified life requires, who pays for it, and how much power are you willing to give the government to make that happen?
Because “the government will provide for you” sounds wonderful.
Until you remember that the government first has to get the money from somebody else.
🚨 #BREAKING: MULTIPLE Democrat members of Congress have BROKEN INTO an ICE facility in New Jersey, and the Mayor of Newark has been ARRESTED by DHS
They waited for the busses to open the gates, and they stormed in.
THIS IS A FEDERAL CRIME! ARREST REPS. MENENDEZ AND WATSON TOO!
Meet WOKE U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken.
He just temporarily blocked the deportation of Oscar Bergal, a Dominican national here illegally who was shot by an ICE officer during an enforcement operation.
Officials say Bergal rammed his car into ICE agents with his 5-year-old child inside. He has a prior grand larceny conviction and alleged ties to the Trinitarios gang.
Think about that. A man allegedly uses his car as a weapon with a little kid in the back seat, and a federal judge steps in to keep him in this country.
Judges who put criminals ahead of American safety should face impeachment.
Enough is enough.
Without a doubt whoever is controlling the gas prices is keeping them high until after the midterms. Democrat minions working behind the scenes don’t be fooled VOTE RED.
