@awfulannouncing It was a man pointing for a few seconds before his wife pulled him back into his seat, nothing more that fan did. 🤷♂️ Stop it with trying to justify it.. wrong is wrong brother. 🤷♂️
🚨 THE WNBA HAS BEEN CORNERED BY ITS OWN RULEBOOK.
Everyone witnessed what happened in Game 2. The footage has been dissected, the rules have been exposed, and the entire basketball community is now waiting for the WNBA to do what a legitimate professional sports league is obligated to do.
The NBA has repeatedly demonstrated that crossing the player-fan boundary carries serious consequences, regardless of intent or provocation.
And let's be absolutely clear about NBA precedent. Isaiah Thomas received TWO games for entering the stands to confront fans without physical violence. Antonio Davis received FIVE games, and DJ Mbenga received SIX. Both entered the stands over concerns involving family members. A'ja Wilson's actions were considerably worse on all counts.
Now explain why the WNBA should operate under a different standard when its MVP is involved.
ENFORCE ITS OWN RULES.
Deliberately entering the stands requires automatic ejection. Players leaving the bench area during a qualifying altercation face MANDATORY suspensions beginning before their next game.
The WNBA must now acknowledge violations occurred, identify the responsible players, and apply the prescribed penalties.
And with tonight's elimination game approaching, the league is running out of time.
There is growing speculation that the WNBA is deliberately delaying its decision to protect A’ja Wilson and other Las Vegas Aces players from missing a critical playoff game.
That allegation has not been proven. But should the WNBA allow tonight's game to proceed without addressing potential mandatory suspensions, it will only fuel suspicions that the delay was deliberately intended to protect A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces from the consequences of their actions.
Deliberately postponing mandatory discipline until AFTER the game in which it should have been served would represent a calculated manipulation of competitive integrity.
That would be a scandal far bigger than the original incident.
The WNBA cannot allow the timing of its disciplinary process to determine who plays in an elimination game.
Its credibility is already under intense scrutiny. An unexplained delay only invites further questions about preferential treatment and whether the league considers its own rules negotiable.
Cathy Engelbert and the WNBA have a decision to make.
Determine what happened. Explain the findings. Enforce every applicable rule.
BEFORE TIPOFF.
Because a professional sports league that selectively controls WHEN its rules are enforced leaves fans questioning whether its competition is legitimate.
@WISHNews8 So are the fans expected to pay for a ticket and just go and sit in their seats and keep their hands on their knees, sit straight up, and not speak, cheer, or walk around? And they wonder why they lose 50+ million a year.. 🤦♂️
@Boqtdawg@do_u24 Ok, I can’t disagree with that and he’s right, Good point but unfortunately negativity gets more publicity than positive from the media these days. Sparks more discussions and disagreements.
That’s my opinion but remember, I’m an old dummy so what do I know? 😊.
@ynturntblrrddd@awfulannouncing@stephenasmith From your logic… no sports game would ever be finished, everyone would just fight all the time because someone pointed or said something someone doesn’t like.. 👍. Smart guy! 😂 🤦♂️ Grow up little man.
@ynturntblrrddd@awfulannouncing@stephenasmith So someone points means you gotta try and fight them? And that someone is the reason you get paid… if a simple point infuriates you to wanna charge me, maybe you need a therapist because you’re weak minded… 🤷♂️.
@ynturntblrrddd@awfulannouncing@stephenasmith If you can’t handle someone pointing at you then we got worse problems… remember homie, no fans, no money… 🤷♂️. I walk close to the court every time I go, if I point at someone do i gotta worry about being charged at? Its called maturity young man!
@Dhoopster_ What court you play on that has fans sitting on it?
She didn’t leave the court.. 😂 🤦♂️
I’m guessing you have other interests in mind than the actual truth, truth the world can obviously see… 🤦♂️ You see it too… just choose not to.. 🤷♂️
@Dhoopster_ Did you watch the same video as everyone else or was it cut out before she had to be restrained after leaving the court to approach a man simply pointing at her? Or do you not want to see the truth and only what you want because of other reasons? Wrong is wrong regardless of who
@letstalkksports Do they not realize the fans that actually attend these events pay their salaries.. if I were a WNBA fan, I wouldn’t spend a dime on these immature and disrespectful women.. 🤷♂️ If Caitlin didn’t play, I’m sure attendance would be next to nothing. She is the WNBA.
The Las Vegas Aces were caught pointing and laughing at Caitlin Clark in Game 1 of the WNBA Playoffs.
But when Fever fans do it back, now it's unacceptable? 😭😭😭😭😭😭🫵🫵🫵🫵🫵🫵🫵
@QuiaTarantino No… just stop!! Pointing at someone isn’t a crime. Losing your mind and control because a fan pointed at you is immature and shows lack of restraint.. sticks and stones… 🤦♂️ grow up!
