St. Paul cop Heather Weyker framed more than 30 people in a fake trafficking ring investigation.
Her investigation fell apart, but not before she ruined dozens of lives.
Today, the Supreme Court let Weyker off Scot-free when it denied cert. in @IJ's case for Hamdi Mohamud.

Agreed. Mass surveillance violates the Fourth Amendment and has a chilling effect on freedom of expression. Surveillance systems are prone to misuse for political or discriminatory purposes.
This little twat under Hegseth is desperately trying to spin the story on Anthropic and convince Americans that ASHKUALLY it’s good for the Pentagon to have AI mass surveillance and the robot controlled weapons.
He’s getting roasted in the replies and community noted to death.
What’s happening with Anthropic right now should be scaring people more than it is
Forcing AI models to mass-surveil Americans AND bypassing guardrails to make those models autonomously kill people??
Are we sure we want to go down this road?
Holy shit this is bad.
Pete Hegseth is basically threatening Anthropic - which he inked a deal with to implement AI in the Pentagon - because they won’t remove these two safeguards in their programming.
1. Prevention of AI-controlled weapons
2. Prevention of mass domestic surveillance of Americans
Even worse, it seems OpenAI, Google, and xAI have all signaled they’re totally fine with removing these safeguards if Anthropic won’t.
This should be the only story everywhere right now.
Stand with Anthropic!
Don't believe what xenophobes tell you: financially America is net ahead on immigrants. They're entitled to dislike people from certain countries if they want to (and are willing to admit that's what drives them), but the economic argument is bullshit.
They want you numb to the government executing citizens in the streets.
They want you numb to rich and powerful people abusing children.
They want you numb to cruelty, vice, and hatred inflicted on others.
Never accept numbness.
Outrage is more productive than apathy.
Study history.
Every act of state brutality you tolerate when it’s used against “the others” will eventually be used against you.
Once violence is normalized, the circle of “others” keeps widening.
No matter what—you’ll find yourself inside it, in time.
For decades, conservatives have described precisely the kind of tyrannical violations of rights we're seeing taking place in our nation today as the hypothetical apocalypse that necessitated the 2A & their stockpiling of firearms, yet today they cheer & demand citizens submit.
It's exhausting to be lied to. I think some of the most accomplished liars even take advantage of this fact. Their lies then serve a double purpose: (a) whatever purpose each specific lie serves and (b) to exhaust their audience and thereby batter them into submission.
They’re building a police state right before our eyes—which will ultimately be deployed against conservative Christians and gun owners and those who refuse the jab—and a lot of “Republicans” with Gadsden flags in their bios are like, “Yeah, FAFO!”
There’s almost nothing more “permanent Washington” than a regime-change war in Venezuela sold to the American public on the pretext of stopping “narco-terrorists.”
