@thefa@England@wembleystadium I’ve been trying to buy a ticket for the Spain game all afternoon but when I stuck on the payment processing page and nothing seems to happen other than I get kicked out
@JakePompeySmith Logged on at 12pm, wouldn’t let me click on the link to buy tickets as just said tickets available soon. Eventually got through to be put a queue for half an hour, got a ticket but won’t let me pay, been trying for an hour
🚨 NEW: Jeremy Clarkson says benefits claimants should be forced to write a genuine thank you email to a random worker every week
“It is SO kind of you to go to work every day so that I don’t have to. Thanks to you I was able to buy an even bigger television this week”
The World Cup is not FIFA’s to sell. “Outside investors" should be nowhere near the greatest sporting prize on earth. "Outside investors" should be nowhere near a governing body, even a subsidiary of FIFA. The optics are terrible. The threat of interference is obvious. There was enough political interference in the sport at the World Cup over suspending Folarin Balogun’s suspension. Damaged the integrity of the game. There was commercial interference with the sponsored hydration breaks. Damaged the flow of the game.
FIFA insists that the billions raised by “outside investors” will help smaller national associations in the story first reported by the Financial Times and Times. That, coincidentally, should guarantee Gianni Infantino votes to continue as FIFA president next March.
FIFA also insists that these outside investors’ involvement in “FIFA Forward Enterprise” will not interfere with the “democratic” process of FIFA. But who are these private investors? What are their motives? Ego? Influence? Alarm bells should be ringing throughout world football about this deeply dangerous development.
My parents bought their house in the 80’s in north London for £125k that home is now worth nearly £2 million.. they live on a pension.. property rich cash poor !!! If Burnham brings in the 0.48% tax that would make them liable to a council tax bill of £9600 a year
Anyone else see the problem here ?
This is just the most gross, horrific, anti aspiration envy tax of the worst kind. It would also destroy the property market.
Based on average council tax payments over half of London homeowners would be worse off.
Nearly 20% of homeowners across the UK would be worse off
675000 homes would see their tax double to *at least* £5000 a year.
It penalises those in the South- not only have they already had to pay more for their home they’ll have paid Stamp Duty too. So it’s a higher tax and a repeat tax.
It would be @andyburnham ‘s poll tax moment. It’s actually more unfair than the poll tax.
@rebekkarnold Property usually goes up in value most years if not every year, so this tax will gradually increase over time which isn’t good if your employer doesn’t give you pay rises. That’s my take on it.
Goalkeepers who scream at their defence every time they have to make a save - that's your fucking job mate. You're paid to do it. Imagine a postman screaming at homeowners every time they had to deliver a letter.
Here we have Larry the Cat attacking a Chinese spy drone outside of the Prime Minister’s house. He simply cannot be fooled and quite frankly he is a hero
Thomas Müller estaba dando el Mundial de su vida en 2010.
Y está amarilla le costó perderse la semifinal ante España.
Él hace unos días declaró que la razón por la cual fue amonestado fue el reclamo de Messi al árbitro.
