A Market Maker with an accumulated phantom shares over 5-12 months betting a company would go bankrupt, has created a systemic issue because covering the shorts would cost the MM billions. So the MM needs the company to go bankrupt, not soar with the success from the contracts it has signed and the technology it has developed.
