After the civil war, black per capita wealth increased 5% every decade relative to white people, all the way up to 1970 when the progress stopped.

Had that rate continued past the 70’s we would have seen racial wealth parity by the year 2040.

But something happened in the 70’s... The great society programs began to take effect, we went off the gold standard, and expanded federal regulatory bureaucracies which were harnessed by lobbyists to create barriers to entry for less connected competitors, leading to massive banking and corporate consolidation.

In 1970 the top four companies in any given industry made up on average 20% of the market share. Today the top four companies in any given industry control roughly 80% of market share.

While black people were making fast progress before the 70’s, the vast majority of black owned businesses were not in the top four. So when the top companies consolidated 80% of businesses, it effectively wiped out the majority of black owned business.

There were enourmous challenges pre civil rights era including legalized segregation, lynchings, redlining and other forms of open discrimination. Despite all those roadblocks there were growing and thriving black cities, black owned businesses, banks, hospitals and more.

Black people made more economic progress under intense racism than under an expanded progressive government. Black people don’t need white saviors, they need freedom just like everyone else.

We don’t need affirmative action to solve past inequalities. It isn't racism that is responsible for the halting of relative progress in the last 50 years, since racism was significantly more present before the stagnation.

It wasn’t only black people who suffered from this massive consolidation and increase in inequality. Small businesses were wiped out for all races, broken families increased for all races. It is no consolation to the white people who also lost out on opportunities that the few massive business’s dominating the landscape are run by other white people.

Growing up, I was oblivious to the subtle programming designed to undermine the masculine identity.

Society's narratives, reinforced through the media and cultural influences, downplayed the importance of men and diminished their value.

Men were portrayed either as dumb brutes or goofy, clumsy fathers.

A boy growing up in this environment, with limited masculine role models, can't help but internalize these messages... stunting their understanding of his own masculine identity.

What ends up happening is boys grow into partially developed, uninitiated men stuck in a state of immature masculinity.

They develop their psyche around warped views of what it means to be a man.

It wasn't until my late thirties that I realized the messages propagated by society were not harmless but rather a deliberate assault on the inherent worth of a man.

Recognizing the attack became a pivotal moment for me.

It forced me to look inward and assess who I was and question how much of my masculinity was programmed by outside forces that did not have my best interests in mind.

I committed myself to personal transformation.

I sought out coaches and mentors, joined men's groups, read and learned about masculine psychology, trained self-defense and MMA, got more into the outdoors, , and became a Christian.

The journey has been rewarding.

It's challenging at times, but the progress I've made has given me a sense of fulfillment, purpose, and meaning I've never had before, but deep down knew I was always missing.

I'm sharing because I'm not the only one.

An entire generation of men has been misled, either because they never grew up with a father or they were programmed by a feminized society.

If that's you, know that you can change that.

There is still opportunity for you to uncover your true identity and become the man you've always aspired to be.

1. What is “woke”?

From my understanding, The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), sends lobbyists to companies and gives them a list of demands, and if they don’t comply with these demands, the woke investors put pressure on the boards, activists are mobilized, advertising campaigns are shut down, and anyone who continues to do business with the poorly scored company, will also be penalized.

3. And who is funding the HRC?
