Grateful to President @Christodulides for his kind congratulatory message on our 35th Anniversary of Independence. It was during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union that Ukraine finally opened the first negotiating cluster with the EU. Now it is important to open all the remaining ones. And we know that we can count on Cyprus’s continued support for our EU integration. We also appreciate other forms of support and hope to increase our cooperation in other areas as well.

We marked the conclusion of the ��🇾 presidency of the Council of the EU with a reception last night at the residence, passing on the symbolic presidency baton from Cyprus 🇨🇾 ➡️ to Ireland 🇮🇪.

With the strategic vision encapsulated by "An Autonomous Union. Open to the World", the presidency @CY2026EU achieved concrete results in a wide range of policy areas for the benefit of all 🇪🇺 citizens.
