One of the most underrated economic assets in the Kingdom of God is speaking in tongues.

Most people think speaking in tongues belongs only in prayer meetings, conferences, and church services. They fail to realise that the same Holy Spirit who empowers prayer is the Spirit who inspired creation, innovation, wisdom, strategy, governance, and productivity.

The world runs on information. Markets reward insight. Industries reward innovation. Organisations reward problem-solvers.

But when a believer prays in tongues, he is not merely making spiritual sounds. He is engaging the Spirit who knows all things, sees all things, and understands opportunities long before they become visible to everyone else.

"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself."

The word edify means to build up.

And here is the reality: economies are built by people before they are built by money.

A strengthened man will always outperform a weakened man.

A man full of divine wisdom will often outperform a man with superior resources but inferior insight.

Many people are looking for financial breakthroughs when what they really need is spiritual capacity. Because when capacity grows, opportunities that once looked impossible suddenly become manageable.

The greatest economic advantage is not money.

It is insight.

It is knowing what others do not know.

It is seeing what others cannot yet see.

It is discerning what others overlook.

It is having the courage to act when others hesitate.

Speaking in tongues strengthens the inner man, sharpens spiritual perception, aligns the heart with divine wisdom, and positions the believer to become a carrier of solutions.

No wonder Scripture says we speak mysteries.

Mysteries are hidden things.

And hidden things are where opportunities live.

The next business idea, the next innovation, the next strategy, the next solution to a complex problem may not come from panic, noise, or endless scrolling. It may come while praying in the Spirit.

Never underestimate the economic value of spiritual intelligence.

Tongues may not put money directly into your account, but they develop the person who creates value, solves problems, builds organisations, leads people, generates wealth, and changes nations.

The believer who prays in the Spirit is not escaping reality.

He is connecting to the highest intelligence available in reality.

And when divine intelligence meets diligent labour, extraordinary outcomes become inevitable.

Before you quit your job, reject a job offer because the salary seems low, move abroad in search of greener pastures, or accept a new position simply because it offers a bigger paycheck, I want you to hear this carefully:

Don't ever take any major step without first inquiring from God.

One of the biggest mistakes many people make is assuming that every opportunity is from God simply because it looks better financially. Not every door that opens is a door God wants you to walk through. Sometimes what appears to be a promotion can become a distraction from your divine purpose. Sometimes what looks like a breakthrough can become a trap.

Money is important, but God's direction is more important.

There are people who left stable jobs chasing higher salaries only to find themselves in toxic work environments, financial struggles, depression, or even unemployment months later. There are others who turned down opportunities that looked small, only to discover later that those opportunities were connected to their destiny.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Notice that Scripture says in all your ways. That includes your career decisions, business decisions, relocation plans, investments, and job opportunities.

Before making a decision, pray.

Ask God:

- Is this Your will for me?
- Is this the right time?
- Will this move bring me closer to my purpose?
- What dangers am I not seeing?
- What opportunities are hidden in my current season?

Many times God sees what we cannot see. He knows the future while we only see the present. What looks attractive today may bring sorrow tomorrow, and what looks insignificant today may become a great blessing in the future.

Even when a job offer comes with a huge salary increase, take time to pray. Peace is more valuable than a paycheck. Purpose is greater than popularity. Obedience is better than haste.

David constantly inquired of God before going into battle. Even though he was a mighty warrior, he understood that success was not in his experience but in God's guidance.

If David needed God's direction before making military decisions, how much more should we seek God before making life-changing career decisions?

Never let pressure make decisions that prayer should make.

Seek God first.
Wait for His direction.
Follow His leading.

The safest place to be is not where the salary is highest, but where God's will is being fulfilled in your life.

May God give you wisdom to make the right decisions, courage to obey His voice, and discernment to recognize His direction.

HOW TO PRAY USING SCRIPTURES

Praying using scriptures is the perfect way to know you are praying the will of God. When you don't know how to pray, open the Bible and use the scriptures. Let your prayer requests be accompanied with scriptures. You can write them down before you enter the place of prayer and use them.

Many believers struggle in prayer because they think prayer is about finding the right words. But prayer is not about impressive words; it is about agreement with God's Word. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:11 that God's Word will not return to Him void. When you pray scriptures, you are reminding yourself of God's promises and standing on what He has already said concerning your life.

Praying scriptures strengthens your faith because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Instead of praying based on your feelings, fears, or circumstances, you begin to pray based on God's truth. Circumstances may change, but God's Word remains forever.

For example, if you need wisdom, don't simply say, "Lord, give me wisdom." Take the scripture and pray it:

"Father, Your Word says in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously without finding fault. Lord, I ask for wisdom concerning this situation. Guide my decisions and direct my steps in Jesus' name."

If you are praying for provision, use Philippians 4:19:

"Father, Your Word says that You shall supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I stand upon this promise today. I declare that every need in my life shall be met according to Your Word."

If you are battling fear, use Isaiah 41:10:

"Lord, You said I should not fear because You are with me. You said You will strengthen me, help me, and uphold me with Your righteous right hand. Today I reject fear and embrace Your peace."

If you need healing, pray with Isaiah 53:5:

"Father, Your Word says that by His stripes we are healed. I receive healing over my body. Let every sickness, pain, and affliction leave in the name of Jesus."

If you desire protection, use Psalm 91:

"Lord, Your Word says that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Protect me and my family from every evil attack, danger, and accident."

If you are trusting God for direction, pray Proverbs 3:5-6:

"Father, I choose to trust in You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding. As I acknowledge You in all my ways, direct my paths according to Your promise."

If you need strength during difficult times, pray Isaiah 40:31:

"Lord, Your Word says those who wait upon You shall renew their strength. Renew my strength today. Help me to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint."

Even when praying for your children, marriage, ministry, business, or future, find scriptures that relate to those areas and turn them into prayer points. The more you pray God's Word, the more confidence you have in prayer because you know you are praying according to His will.

A practical way to do this is to keep a prayer journal. Divide it into categories such as healing, protection, finances, family, spiritual growth, favor, and breakthrough. Under each category, write relevant scriptures. Whenever you pray, read the scripture first and then turn it into a personal prayer.

Jesus Himself used scripture. The apostles used scripture. The early church stood upon scripture. God's Word is the foundation of effective prayer.

The next time you enter your prayer closet and don't know what to say, don't be discouraged. Open your Bible. Read a promise. Speak it back to God. Pray His Word. Declare His Word. Stand upon His Word.

Remember, prayers based on God's Word carry confidence because they are rooted in God's promises. When you pray scriptures, you are not merely expressing your desires; you are agreeing with what God has already spoken.

Pray the Word, believe the Word, and watch God fulfill His Word in your life.

There comes a time when silence becomes ingratitude.

There comes a time when honour becomes a sacred duty.

There comes a time when sons and daughters must rise to celebrate the gifts that God has given to a generation.

This is such a time.

We refuse to be silent while men and women of eternal significance are reduced to headlines, controversies, and social media trends.

We refuse to stand by while those who have sacrificed decades in service to God and humanity are casually criticized by people who have built nothing, fathered nobody, planted no churches, and transformed no nations.

The sons and daughters of prophets must never be silent while cheap publicity seekers use great men as instruments for attention.

A generation that does not honour its fathers has no future.

A people who cannot recognize greatness in their midst will eventually suffer the tragedy of its absence.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is not merely a church leader.

He is not merely a denomination head.

He is not merely a respected minister.

He is one of the most significant Christian leaders of our generation and one of the greatest spiritual gifts God has given to Africa and the global Church.

We should never allow a man who chose humility to become the chewing stick of the uninformed.

We should never permit the noise of critics to drown out the voice of history.

We should never watch while modern-day Sauls seek to intimidate, discredit, or silence God's servants.

Scripture records how King Saul pursued David.

Scripture records how Doeg the Edomite became an instrument of destruction against the priests of God.

Throughout history, political power has often sought to suppress prophetic voices.

Yet God has always preserved His servants and vindicated His purpose.

The Church must never become indifferent when its fathers are unfairly attacked.

Nor should we wait until our prophets cross into eternity before we begin to celebrate them.

Too often, flowers are sent to funerals when they should have been delivered while the recipient was still alive.
