@Mr_Crome Completely agree Sam! I’m retired now but always regarded myself as a sh1t filter, allowing others more gifted than myself to get on with our core business; education. Every now and then I’d do something to flush myself out, and we’d go again.

@Headteacherchat Whatever you say they will be waiting to make up their own minds based on your actions over the coming weeks. Tell them you know that, to come and talk to you and that you look forward to getting to know about them. However mainly that you’ve got their backs!

@secretHT1 It’s certainly a challenge. I opted out of as many LA services as possible, bought privately and ran our own catering. This enabled me to boost resourcing and pupil welfare considerably. However that was 10 years ago, staffing costs now take a greater percentage I’m sure.

@secretHT1 Brilliantly, soul baringly, honestly written. I’m ten years retired but this rings true, and it’s only got harder. It’s easy to feel responsible, take on, everybody’s woes & forget yourself until it’s too late. Glad you’ve fallen in love with education again. Have a great summer!

@TPScheme I had no choice as you incorrectly reassessed it and after the whole of 2024 passed my complaints have still not been resolved! I have referred my case to the pension ombudsman.

@RobertT20960582 @TPScheme After eight years of paying my pension @TPScheme reassessed my pension with scant evidence. 12 months, two complaints and still no resolution. I’ve gone to the pension ombudsman now. KEEP ALL YOUR PAPERWORK!

@TPScheme I see many “Tweets” surveying, and advertising to, new members about pensions. However you have not resolved my issue after 11 months, nor replied to two formal complaints. Perhaps caring for existing members should be more of a priority?
